“It’s a brand new controller I’ve barely used twice and it will randomly refuse to work. Even when connected to the PlayStation via a cord. It looks nice, but it doesn’t work at all which is incredibly frustrating. Save your money and just buy the official controller. I saw it had good reviews and didn’t bother to dig deeper, I’ll take my responsibility on that. If you’re reading this, this is your sign to not buy it.” This was my original review. I've tried a number of different PS4 third-party controllers over the years, and have had mixed results. This is one of the better ones, especially if you want stronger vibration. The vibration is one of the stronger I have felt, and with FPS/shooters/racing games it is a very pleasant feeling. In terms of delay issues, none were noticed. No input lag on the joysticks or buttons. Pairing was simple, and the battery life is good (not as good as the official controller, but good enough for casual gamers like me). I don't really use the screen portion, even on the official, so I can't really speak much about it. The overall feel and weight is very similar to the official, but I would say slightly lighter overall - perhaps because the battery is smaller or the plastic is a bit cheaper. But, for the price, this makes a great addition as an extra controller or travel controller for the PS4.

Cute and well made! It did lose a star because the buttons don’t have the usual symbols, which sent my autistic son into full “WHAT IS THIS MADNESS” mode for a minute. But we worked through it and now he LOVES that his controller is unique… and honestly, it’s basically burglar-proof because nobody else knows what the buttons do 😂 Bonus mom win: it came with charging cords, and in this household those are worth more than gold, sanity, and maybe even coffee.

Great controller for the price. It connected to my PS4 quickly and works smoothly with no noticeable lag. The buttons and joysticks feel responsive, vibration and motion controls work well, and the touchpad and headphone jack are a nice bonus. Battery life is solid for long gaming sessions. The position of the share and options buttons make it uncomfortable to access without moving the wrist. I like having a better placement than the stock controller; however, this wasn't it. Also, the overall size doesn't fit PS4 controller chargers that have an upside down mounted cradle technique. The docks with the audio pin and bottom jack charger port that float the controller do work with this controller; however, I have a fan mount with controller cradle that this wouldn't work in. These things weren't enough to get rid of it. I liked the look, I liked the texture of the joysticks, and I liked the feel generally of the hold (all ps4 controllers are ideal for me so that's not a shock). The reason I had to return this is because I tried two different computers, two different PS4s, and wired/wireless and it constantly had connection issues. I've never had connection issues with a joypad/gamepad/DS4 controller before. This is the first one I've ever had issues with. I went through over two hours of support trying to resolve it and finally just gave up. The audio constantly cut out and the controller would regularly have a 500+ ms delay that would cause you to fail key presses or rapid spin or whatever negative thing would happen during that delay. Also, at times, it would simply disconnect. Looks are there... feel is there... functionality is atrocious. I wouldn't recommend this for free.

I was excited for these, the price was great for the set. But after trying them out, which I got them for me and my fiancée... I noticed that my pink one after barely even using it, sometimes doesn't work for a minute or so when you're moving around in a game, not sure why. It also will pop up on my Playstation 4 periodocially, when I am trying to use it, that the controller isn't made for it and may not work right, is basically what it says. I already stopped using it and going to invest in the original Playstation 4 controllers instead. I didn't feel like going through the return part to return them since I figured with the deal I got, I got what I paid for I guess. Also I couldn't plug in my adapters in either of them, like I have for the original Playstation controllers that charge them up because of the way they are shaped, they won't fit. That was a bummer too. But I get it since the chargers are actually Playstation products, they only work for the real controllers. I charged them both off the cord and the pink one really didn't last long with a charge. I suggest maybe spending extra on actual Playstation 4 controllers even though they still are very pricey.
