Description

The Fishtail Set gets into areas no other gouges will fit. These delicate-looking hand tools allow you to carve tiny details, and their unique shape makes them surprisingly versatile. Fishtail gouges have a longer shaft that only flares out to the sweep and side near the end. This shape allows you to fit into tight areas, and with practice, allows you to carve a variety of curves and shapes with just the corner of your chisel. Each tool in this 4pc Fishtail Chisel Set has been professionally hand sharpened by Belcher Carving Supply. We wanted to offer a premium set of woodcarving tools to our customers who would like their tools professionally ground and honed before purchase. We're a small, three person business with a passion for community and mission to make quality woodcarving tools accessible to everyone. Part of that means giving back to the community and supporting programs like 21st Century Heroes. Twice a year, 21st Century Heroes provides a seven-day therapeutic and professionally instructed woodcarving workshop to combat wounded veterans. Hands-on, small group classes are taught in a relaxed environment and are designed to offer the vets with sufficient knowledge and confidence in order for them to continue woodworking when they return to their homes.
