I was very wary of this product based on some of the negative reviews & videos I saw here, but I’m glad I bought these lights in the end! These are bright enough that I could apply my makeup using only my new vanity lights - no yellow overhead lighting required! I’ve attached four photos, all taken at night. The first two are photos of the lights at full brightness with my overhead light on. Third is full brightness with overhead light off. Last is with it dimmed all the way down, overhead light off. All taken with iPhone. It’s so bright my overhead light barely makes a difference in the photos! The dimmer works smoothly, though I will rarely use it. I took one star away because although these are pretty easy & straightforward to install/mount, the 3M tape they come with leaves something to be desired. I was also worried about tape residue staying behind as I was sticking these directly to my wall and not the mirror itself. I will go over a few of the things that I tried! Knowing that I didn’t want to ruin my walls, I chose to apply masking tape to the back of the included 3M tape. By that, I mean I peeled off the backing of the 3M tape and applied the masking tape to it so that rather than the 3M tape sticking to my walk, it would be the masking tape instead which would do less damage down the line if I were to ever move these lights. This lasted less than a day as one or two lights refuse to stay on the wall. Mind you, the masking tape never peeled off the wall – only the light itself did. After about three days of trying and failing to reattach the same lights, I decided to move onto another adhesive. Again, the masking tape was not the issue - it stuck to my wall just fine, so I know it was just the 3M tape that was failing. Luckily I had some scotch extreme mounting tape-if you look it up, it should be a dark gray/black thick tape with a red backing (it is double sided). I cut this off in very thin strips, you only need enough to go from one end of the light to the other as the tape is very strong. I proceeded to apply this to the 3M tape and pressing down to ensure it stayed in place before peeling the red backing off and attaching it to the masking tape that was still on the wall (I used it as a guide to place my lights). Since then, NONE of my lights have fallen off - and I have the added comfort of knowing that when I’m ready to move or reposition the lights, my wall will be protected by the masking tape I attached the Scotch extreme mounting tape to! I wish I had taken photos of the process I used but I hope my description helps anyone out there who is struggling with getting these lights to stay up! ... show more

First off. Don't listen to the reviews saying that the lights do not stick on very well. Those people either got the very few(if any) faulty ones, or the more likely option, they don't know what they're doing when they were putting them on. I would have to pry these suckers off with a crow bar. I have 3 sets of these. 2 in my bathroom (big mirror above my sink and long mirror on my wall same bathroom), and my vanity. I take super hot long showers, baths and my bathroom gets so foggy I can barely see by the time I get out. These don't budge one bit. You just have to make sure the surface is clean and dry and you press down hard. I have had these for over 6 months. I clean the glass daily around them, wipe the fog off, you name it. I constantly test them to see if they are even close to coming loose. Nope, not one bit. They are not going anywhere. I've had these almost a year! All 3 sets are great. Not loose or anything. Only bad thing is I had no idea how bad my hair color was until I got these. Couldn't believe I was walking around in broad daylight like that! Obviously not enough lighting in my bathroom. But we fixed that real quick. Lol I really like that you can dim these or brighten however you want. These are not my main bathroom lighting. I added these because my main lighting was not sufficient and my sister raved about these. I only wish I didnt wait a year to get these. Even my husband likes these for when he shaves. My only concern was some of the reviews were complaining about them falling off. But I got them anyways. I liked them so much ended up getting 2 more. I have 2 sets in my bathroom because my bathroom is big and has a shadowy area where my wardrobe mirror is on the wall. Just a simple tap and they turn on and off. A long press to brighten or dim. For the price, these are amazing and I wish I bought them sooner. Don't hesitate on buying these. You won't regret it. If they do happen to fall off, I will update. ... show more

Although I have to find a way to hide the wires later, I couldn’t WAIT to do my DIY vanity. After being scammed on Facebook and loosing out on money, I decided to make my own. The mirror was from a dresser set from my neighbors and they were throwing it away and asked if I could have it. Months later, after taking apart the wood and cleaning the mirror, I’m finally getting to make it my own. The dresser part is actually a clothes hamper but I turned it into a little desk for my makeup and nail drill. The lights are extremely bright and I’m so in love with the way it turned out!!!
