I have used this machine about a dozen times and so far so good. The coffee comes out hot and flavorful, just the right balance. It is not an expensive machine but is not crappy either. It is very noisy but it does the job. I got it for my desk at work, it works perfect. I don't see it as the machine to have in the kitchen for the family coffee. I believe its for that morning shot, or "I am falling asleep" shot, or the "I want coffee but just a bit". I found packages with variaties of cups. I have zero complaints. I would give it a 5 if it was quieter. ... show more

I have a lovely keurig, my 2nd one in 10 years. As any of you coffee lovers know, at times it’s hard to find that “just right” coffee and flavor. And then someone improves it. 😩. A friend fixed me a coffee one morning that was so smooth. All the flavors and aroma and creamy. It was a nespresso type pot. I accused her of using cream. Didn’t want to pay a lot with my keurig there so I searched Amazon. I found this machine as a refurbished one. At a great price. Received it and ordered several brands of the pods. This machine allows me to run more water through to get a decent sized cup of coffee and regulate the strength. I understand the bars, I think this one is rated at about 20. I also have a $10 espresso pot I can carry with me if I’m visiting. It’s 4 bars. My keurig produces no head of foam and using the same brand of coffee in all 3, it can produce a nice strong cup. The $10 machine does a nice job, no real head. They both taste pretty much the same. This machine doesn’t give me a lot of head, maybe 1/8” at most. But the coffee has a much smoother taste and mouth feel. I don’t see any difference in the amount of head with my own coffee or any of the brands I’ve tried. I did notice the metal pods don’t always seat correctly. It could be me not pushing down the lever correctly. I couldn’t figure out why the drip tray was filling up with coffee some times. I just pull out the drip tray, set the cup into the space and catch everything. Now mine may not be producing a full 20 bars of pressure and a new one might do better. But I don’t care for anything in my coffee except good water and good coffee. The amount of head wasn’t important, finding a good price to try out one to see if I want to invest in a more expensive espresso machine was. I’m having fun with this one, my friends have all said they’re enjoying it, if I replace this one I’ll definitely check out this brand. It has a smaller footprint, it’s so easy to clean and move around. It feels heavy, sturdy, well made . Except for the slight leaking around some of the metal pods and not the plastic ones I'm giving it a 5 or greater for it’s value. Btw, it comes with the metal pods. :). ... show more

Been using this for a month or two as my old Delonghi broke. It comes with a rack and 2 espresso cups. The silver lever on top which you push down and pull up is very sticky and requires a fair bit of force. You’ll know what I mean right away! Makes a nice cup of lungo and a very nice espresso as well. The fill levels are a bit short in my opinion and they don’t seem to hold the custom/self programing setting at all. Attaching the water reservoir is a bit of a pain. A bit noisy, but no more than my previous Delonghi model. I would recommend you give this maker a try as it does work fairly well with the shortcomings I mentioned. ... show more
