Honest and fair.... Assembly: Easy. I always assume things will be difficult to assemble, even being a tradesman, but honestly if you are debating on purchasing because of bad assembly reviews rest assured you’ll be fine. Small wood screws tend to get peoples blood boiling. TIP: take the tip of a small pointed Phillips screwdriver or awl and make a dimple where the screw needs to go. Then screw in by hand. Although this is “solid wood” it’s very soft/light, like a basswood... easy to screw into (also easy to over-screw into). Metal frame screws: start by hand then tighten. If using a cordless drill/driver be careful not to torque too much as I would imagine you could bend the aluminum and crack the paint Overall construction: good. I guess one could say great for the price. Being honest I put an additional coat of urethane on the top which seemed a little thin, but fine I’m sure. I just wanted it incase something spills or something with a wet bottom is put on it. Finish is always cheaper on less expensive wood items as one can imagine. ... show more

To say I was surprised at how nice this turned out to be would be an understatement. It's pretty easy to put together, was shipped well, and looks exactly like I expected. It ended up being a tiny bit larger than I'd hoped, due to the handles on the top shelf. The only real issue is with the glass hanging... my large red wine glasses will not fit more than two. The white wine will fit 4, but they'd all be touching. Martini glasses only fit two because they have large bowls. It's probably really good for flutes? I may not use it much anyway, but it's nice to have in case. I'd recommend this. ... show more

This is a beautiful cart. I wasn’t expecting the top to be removable, but it seems to stay on pretty snug. About 25% of the holes were actually drilled through in advance. The rest seemed to be just tapped with a hammer to show where you should drill a hole, or if you just want to muscle through it like me, I’d suggest wearing gloves. The palm of my hand is still healing from the blister it caused. I’m pretty miffed by the item sent being someone else’s return. They still charged me full priced. The contents were obviously re-taped and shoved back into the box. The broken styrofoam created a snowstorm while unpacking. All of that would have almost been tolerable if one of the boards hadn’t been damaged and the wheels dirty from previous use. I’m not sure how the wheels were used when the boards weren’t all drilled in, so maybe they just took a bunch of defects to make one? Well, big win for the company and a loss for me. I was almost done putting it together when I discovered the dirty wheels and damaged board. It’s too much of a hassle to disassemble it in order to return it, so I guess I will keep the sub standard product that I paid full price for. My only recourse for the deception is this review. Check your stuff in its entirety before putting it together. You cannot trust this company to send you something brand new. ... show more

    • No Predrilled Holes In Wood

**If you have them be ready with a center punch & cordless screwdriver** I just found it easier to lineup one side of the handle, re-punch (indent) the holes, then just do new ones for the other side. Once there was a good dent I just used the cordless drill with a phillips bit and sunk them in (just easier then by hand). Pros: -Pretty sturdy when together -Good distance between the middle & bottom shelf for tall bottles -Sturdy removable top shelf/serving tray -Instructions weren't as bad as some reviews make them sound Cons: -No predrilled holes in any of the wood (for the handles or shelves) -Even indented holes for the handle didn't lineup -"Might" be priced a little high for the quality, but they all seem to be? ... show more

The installation is not easy. The wood does not come with premade holes so you have to gage it for yourself. The hardest part for that is getting the handles on straight. The one I got had dents in the top wood portion from (I assume) previous owners that tried and ended up returning it. None of the dents lined up with the handles properly so it made it extra confusing when trying to assemble it. The rest was easier but still not easy. ... show more
