Description

The Champion Power Equipment 100743 3-inch Semi-Trash Gas-Powered Water Transfer Pump with Hose and Wheel Kit comes with everything you need to start pumping (just add oil and gas). Capable of passing solid waste up to 0.75 of an inch in diameter, this transfer pump is the perfect solution for moving water quickly and efficiently. Whether you are draining or refilling your swimming pool, removing water from your basement or draining shallow flooded areas, this unit features a self-priming design that holds prime even when it’s not running (requires initial priming to operate). This lightweight and portable transfer pump has a maximum delivery volume of up to 264 gallons per minute and is capable of passing solid waste up to 0.75 inch in diameter. With a 3-inch NPT inlet outlet, this unit has a total head of 92 feet and a suction head of 26 feet. The complete hose kit provides everything you need to get your pump into action, including a 12-foot suction hose with filter, 25-foot discharge hose, quick cam lock coupler, clamps, adapters, fittings, nylon tape, along with a handy accessory bag to keep everything organized. Out of the box it didn’t work. The engine runs fine but it doesn’t pump. It will only (very weakly) pump the water out that is used to prime but it goes slowly and obviously has a serious issue. I tried to return it well within the return period and it said I couldn’t return because it’s been used. How am I supposed to know it doesn’t work if I don’t try it? I had to call Amazon directly for a refund. I would spend a little more and get a Honda or other proven brand. There are videos on YouTube with people having the same issue with this brand of the engine working but not pumping. ... show more

This is the pump you are looking for. Moves huge volumes of water. If you are using for fire fighting adapt it down to 1” or 3/3” hose, unless you regularly compete in the strong man competition.

so far i have used this product three times. directions are clear, quiet for a three inch trash pump. starts when cold on first or second pull. pumps a lot of water on 1/3 throttle. even the little wife can set this up and use it. pull start cord is easy on the arm and shoulder. outside of the throttle lever being on the side instead of the front where the rest of the controls are, i cannot find a single thing to complain about. my sister bought a champion brand portable generator three years ago, she loves it. hope i have the same luck with this. ... show more

    • Strainer Fails, good customer service
Pump is good but the plastic strainer is inadequate. Pump failed. Pebbles in pump. As the strainer collects grass on the surface, it partially collapses and falls off the leaving the Pump unprotected. Champion Customer Service arranged for warranty service but I had to drive 1+ hour to get there. Also had bolts loosen during operation. I replaced the cheap plastic strainer with a metal strainer. ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money on this trash
If I could give the product negative stars it be a negative ten. Semi trash pump no piece of trash yes. Don’t waste your money on this pump. I purchased this pump to pump out an above ground pool. I assembled per the instructions and the engine started right up but I had a really hard time getting it to prime the pump. Once the pump primed it did pump water very well until this so called “semi trash pump” picked up some stems from the leaves in the bottom of the pool though the supplied filter. I had to work that night so I put it away and the next morning I cleaned the leaf debris out of the pump and tried to use it again. It would not prime. I contacted Champion and they put the blame on me and said they would not warranty it. No luck with Amazon either even though they were the seller. Now it’s in the hands of my attorney. It will cost me more to sue them but it’s not about the money it’s about companies standing behind the products they sell. I hope this helps anyone looking at Champion products in the future. ... show more

we got about 8 inches of rain on the weekend.i had not tested it yet.water was 1 inch from the top of a flood dike i built i got the pump out it started first pull and started pumping withen 20 seconds.i ran 3 tanks of fuel about18 hours.without it my electric pumps would not keep up and i would have major damage.i bought a extra 50 foot hose and a heavier metal strainer.i think i will get a second pump for backup. ... show more
