Very important note. I almost returned this because I could not get it to program my opener. After you type in your code and press home three times, you have to wait awhile. It took almost 30 seconds until the door moved. I think the unit tests a bunch of different codes until it finds yours. However, I heard a relay click and the light turned off almost immediately, so I thought there was a bigger problem. It would be good if the instructions mentioned that it could take up to a minute of waiting for it to open the door. ... show more

The garage door opener worked great good product well made. It’s gonna work a whole lot better than the other ones were the batteries. Don’t make good contact having a 9 V battery. This is a direct replacement for the legacy garage door pin pad openers that we all have. I was having issues with my 10-year-old garage door opener and I couldn’t find an exact replacement. It’s because it’s been replaced by this model. This model is actually quite easy to set up and it fit right into the screw holes for my old garage door opener keypad. It’s actually quite thick and chunky and the numbers are exposed and I don’t think it will last as long as the old one did. I paid the price for a NEW one. So tell me why the box looks like this, the plastic the keypad was in was taped shut with masking tape and the mounting hardware is missing. The back of the keypad is also scratched up like it’s been used. Luckily it works just fine because I really don’t feel like dealing with returning/exchanging it as I had already tried a different keypad that wouldn’t pair. ... show more

I have regular Chamberlain keypad that is separate from myQ. you have to manually program it in a certain way and when I changed batteries, it lost its programming. This keypad is much the same. When i go to MyQ it says that App setup is currently not available and the details the lengthy procedure to pair it with your opener like the old keypad does No thank-you. In summary, this is not a MyQ keypad at all. It is a programmable keypad just like the old type keypads--the app does nothing for setup and you cannot even add it to the app as a device.
