I’ve installed a number of garage door openers in the past so I found the installation fairly straight forward just using the enclosed installation manual. However, the built in LED light didn’t work. In looking through the manual under ‘troubleshooting’ the instructions for addressing this were not at all detailed (see the photo). In looking at the opener it’s not at all obvious either as to what needs to be done “to remove the cover”. I reached out to Chamberlain customer support and they were very helpful. They ended up sending me a new light assembly (which encompasses most of the bottom of the unit, see photos). Included with the new light were more detailed instructions on how to remove the old light assembly. After taking out the screws and lowering the old light assemble, the wire connection came apart – clearly they weren’t connected tightly in assembly. Connecting the wires fixed the issue and I have an extra LED light if the original fails. By the way – if you need more detailed instructions on removing the light assembly do a Google search on the part number: 041-0203-000. From there, click on the chamberlain link to the part, which has a link to the instructions. As to how the opener works: I love it. It’s very quiet and works very smoothly. The MyQ app was fairly easy to setup and works well. The light though is somewhat underwhelming, at least in my specific situation, in that it shines on the back wall of the garage. My door to the house is on the side wall, more towards the front of the garage, so there’s not a lot of light that shines on it. I think having an adjustable light (one that could be pointed to where you want it) would be ideal. In the end, I’ll give this 4 stars: Great mechanicals, very smooth and quiet but the light is a bit of a disappointment. Edit: I was able to rotate the light 180 degrees and have it point to the garage door, thus better light the entrance to my house. See the last picture. Much improved, will up to 5 stars. Chamberlain should outline the steps for this in their manual!

These are amazing! They are the most quiet garage door openers I’ve ever heard! The remote is your phone which is exactly what we wanted. It has motion detection so the lights come on before you get in the garage. They are easy to use and the performance is great!

First off, installation is a breeze. Even if you're about as handy as a blindfolded penguin with mittens on, you'll have this bad boy up and running faster than you can say 'Bob's your uncle.' And once it's installed, oh boy, get ready for the serenade of silence. This thing is quieter than a ninja on tiptoes. You'll barely even notice it's there, silently doing its job like a loyal sidekick. Now, let's talk about rolling up that garage door. You know those action movie scenes where the hero effortlessly rolls under closing metal doors? Well, that's basically what it feels like every time you use this opener. Smooth, swift, and satisfying. Your garage door will be raising and lowering faster than your heart rate during a horror movie marathon. Oh, the app! It's like having a garage remote in your pocket at all times. Forgot to close the door when you rushed out this morning? No problem, just tap-tap and voila! Your fortress of solitude is secure once again. Definitely Recommend, buy it!

Other than my having gone through the trouble of installing and removing the first opener, which was defective, the replacement works very well. Once the seller realized I had a defective opener, after phone troubleshooting with Chamberlain, they quickly sent a prepaid return shipping label for the bad one. The replacement opener works fabulously and is relatively quiet. However, I did have to purchase the installation extension kit since my garage door is 8’ tall. The motion sensor built into the wall switch is a nice plus and keeps the lights from turning off on you prematurely. The “MyQ” App is super easy to use and gives you full functionality with your smartphone (I use an iPhone so not sure on Androids). Installation using the “BILT” App video tutorial was fairly easy and straight forward. Even though I was able to install the opener by myself I would recommend having a helper.

Yes, there was no instruction manual, which is dumb. YouTube has videos though. This opener is quiet! Takes many hours to install yourself. Includes an outside code device to install too if you want Amazon delivery into your garage.

Though this product came with high reviews, unfortunately we’ve had the garage door opener, just about 30 days and have had constant issues with it working on the app on the remotes and the inside remote for the garage. It’s been one nightmare after the other and unfortunately, Chamberlain has chosen to outsource their support system, and they’ve never helped u And the phone calls constantly dropped. It would make better sense to have in country folks available to deal directly with you, Chamberlain that seems the best customer service sadly to share.
