If you're shopping for bar stools, you already know there are a LOT of options available. At Amazon, we have no way to 'test drive' before buying so reviews can, hopefully, be helpful. I read a lot of them before we settled on this model and decided to order a pair of the black with gold base. Prior to doing so, I messaged Chairus with a question and they responded quickly and helpfully. When we received the chairs, they were well packed and relatively easy to assemble. We find them attractive, comfortable and easy to clean. However, one had a manufacturing defect. I messaged Chairus and they once again responded quickly, asking for additional information and pix. After I replied and had a few exchanges, they proposed a couple solutions. Both were reasonable and we are well pleased with how it turned out. So, yes, a lot of the bar stools seem similar, but customer service can make difference. On that basis -- and the quality of the chairs -- I recommend this product.
