First impression post install was pretty amazing. The Product design/appearence/touch/feel is superb. Very Heavy which is a good indication of the quality of the casing and the weight of the magnet. Hard to beat 2.6" height, it can litterally fit anywhere. It even fits under the passenger side seat of my 01 Corvette. The audio is superb. There is a reason why this under-seat sub is double the amount of the cheaper products. The base is pretty amazing within the C5 cabin. The smaller cabin allows the sub to displace the volume very well. Perfect for augmenting the factory base audio with a nice punch that will make others thing you are running a large cabinet in the trunk.     • Pleasantly Surprised
I’ll preface this review with that fact that I’m not a fan of powered subs. I prefer a separate amp and box setup. Put one of these in the back of my 98 Cherokee. Didn’t want a full-size box back there because I use the Cherokee as my beach truck. Stuff gets tossed in the back kind of haphazardly. But I needed some bass. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of build and the quality of sound this little guy puts out. If you’re expecting it to sound like a 10” in a box, this is not the sub for you. It doesn’t have that true thump a real boxed sub has. But... it definitely adds that low end punch to make your system bump. Seems well made. I like that it actually had terminal lugs for all your power/ground/remote inputs. A lot of powered subs just give you a wiring harness (that’s how the Rockville powered subs are). Fairly easy to setup and tune. My only real gripe was that the sub starts to bark around 3/4 volume. It’s not awful, was able to dial it back with the gains... but like I said, if you’re looking for slam... like good, hard hitting bass, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re looking for some better mid/low range, this absolutely fills the void. My beater Cherokee now sounds better than my gf’s brand new Grand Cherokee. I took 1 star off because it was packaged terribly. I’ve gotten boxes of paper that were packaged better than this piece of electronics. But that’s on amazon, not Cerwin-Vega ... show more

    • As good as I'd hoped for and better than I expected.
I put this in a 2014 Corolla with a Boss Audio BE920WCPA head unit and two Cerwin Vega XED693 (6x9s) and two Cerwin Vega XED650C (two 6" mids and two 1" tweeters" creating a 6:1 car audio experience. I got the car for free from family, 200,000 miles, and the factory stereo was shot, literally just one speaker working, so a new stereo needed to happen. I like my old Cerwin Vegao speakers in my house so I bought these cheap Cerwin Vega speakers off of Amazon and the cheapest touchscreen head unit I could find on Crutchfield that would have Apple Car Play and support the factory back up camera. I also bought the custom harness from Crutchfield, well worth the money there. Anyways... This stereo, these speakers, this sub all sound amazing together! If you are looking for a 6 speaker set up this would be hard to beat for the price. If you were going four with two ways up front, I' sure this would work there too. I'm excited to drive it. The sub itself is heavy, easy to install, and sounds great for such a simple thing. ... show more

Tucked away nicely and sounds fantastic. Impressive bass from such a compact speaker. And it fits exactly into a pocket in the back of the passenger quarterpanel of a 1987-1991 Bronco. Perfect speaker for my application. My gain is at half and I used the wired control dial included, keeping that at 2/3 -3/4 usually. It does get hot after about an hour of play, as mentioned in some other posts. This would not deter me from buying another however. If you want to shake for more than an hour you need a bigger system anyway. I did install a small fan: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072HJ38PS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I put this right next to it in the pocket and powered it off of the blue and black, so it starts blowing when the stereo fires up.     • Great sound from a small package
I've always been a fan of Cerwin Vega speakers and I was in the market for a subwoofer but I don't have the space. I mounted this to the rear firewall of my truck and it sounds great! My current system is lacking the low side and this helped tremendously. I can't say that it will rattle the neighbors house or the car in the next lane but it does sound good. It was fairly easy to install but the plug for the power/ground/remote was a bit finicky, they are too close to each other and I was afraid it would short out it they should come in contact. The set screw used to anchor the wires are a little bit on the small size, even for 8awg wiring kit. I had to solder the end of the copper wired to make sure that I have a good connection that won't fall out of the harness. I would buy this again, highly recommended. ... show more

    • Easy to install, mildly great but the price is high for what it is.
I had a 10in sub in a box but needed to room in my Jeep. This one was one of the better priced name brand options of its kind. Easy to install was a plus and sound quality is good. But this is the part I struggled with based on peoples reviews. Look, if you manage your settings on your radio and have an after market radio then that will help a lot. If you have after market speakers in the doors then that will help too. When I hooked it up I wasn’t impressed but it’s because technically I was downgrading from what I had, but I knew no small speaker with a small box could replicate a bigger box, with that being said….because of the sound and how much room it gave me I’m going to say I’m happy. Most my music sounds good, even windows down on fwy you can still hear and feel it. If you are looking for more space and you are willing to sacrifice some base than this is a great option, I would buy again. If you have a way to install 2 even better. Now for the price, it’s kind of expensive for what it is in my opinion, but it’s also something very specific so that’s the reason I bought it ad I’m sure that’s why it costs that much. ... show more

    • Great all in one setup.
I put it under the back seat of a 2019 ram 1500 with anc system. I wired it up and bypassed the anc system by de pining the mics under the drivers seat. If you don’t do this on a new ram with this system the subwoofer will give a loud feedback noise while driving. The truck is no more loud then with the anc system on. I’m not missing it. The subwoofer is extremely well built and sounds amazing. I compared it to the factory subwoofer the higher line trucks come with” but mine did not” and it sounds better with cleaner and louder sound. It fills in the low end without overpowering the factory speakers. If you are looking for a bit better then factory and don’t want to shake your Brains out this is the subwoofer for you. Best bang for the buck and easy to install if your handy with wiring and Electrical work. Very happy with purchasing this one. Had a alpine and it died after 2 months of use. Will update on longevity later. Ps it sounds way better then the alpine version. ... show more
