The camera works well and the video quality is clear. The motion detection and floodlights are useful, especially at night. Setup was pretty straightforward, and it gives good coverage around the house. Overall, a solid security camera for the price.

Ring Floodlight Cam Review I've been using the Ring Floodlight Cam for several months now, and it's been a game-changer for my home security. The video quality is crisp and clear, even at night thanks to the color night vision. The dual LED floodlights are incredibly bright—more than enough to illuminate my entire driveway and deter any unwanted visitors. What really impressed me is the 3D motion detection and Bird’s Eye View, which gives a top-down map of motion events. It’s not just smart—it’s intuitive. I also love that it integrates seamlessly with Alexa, so I can check the camera feed with a simple voice command. Installation was straightforward, and the app is user-friendly with customizable motion zones and real-time alerts. While it does require a subscription to access recorded footage, the peace of mind it provides is well worth it. If you're looking for a reliable, feature-rich outdoor security camera with powerful lighting, the Ring Floodlight Cam is a solid investment.

Instructions were clear and it was easy to install and setup. Total time for me was only 30 minutes and the only reason it took so long was bc I had to move the existing mounting box a little. We bought a new (to us) house so I’ve switched out quite a few light fixtures by myself at this point. One thing this ring floodlight has that I wish every new fixture came with was a strap you clip on the mounting plate to hang the light from while you are connecting the wires. GENIUS!! If you’ve ever switched out a light fixture by yourself you know how hard it is to hold the fixture up while also trying to wrap and secure the wires-which is definitely a two-handed job. I usually end up trying to balance it with my head or try to get my arms to bend unnaturally so I can secure the wires. The strap idea was genius and I hope whoever thought of it is making bank on a beach somewhere (after they’ve shared it with all other light fixture manufacturers). I have another Ring floodlight camera on the front that came with the house so this one paired to my account seamlessly, did a quick update and it’s working great. Instructions suggest a bead of silicone around where it sits on/in the electrical box. So make sure you have some when you go to install. Ours is under the eaves and not on a wall but I still applied some silicone. Great purchase and can’t tell it was refurbished. If I start having any problems I’ll update.

Now that I figured the motion sensors light out, it is great. If you turn the light ‘on’ in the initial window, the motion sensor does not work. It has to be off and whola, it works perfectly. The flexibility with the brightness, distance area’s that are included, timing the sensor for 30 seconds or a long time is a wonderful feature. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Well packaged. Easy to install. Works great and simple to adjust settings with the Ring app. Night vision works well. The optional AI notifications are a nice feature for an additional fee. I have had a ring door bell and spotlight cam for years with no issues.

The floodlights would not turn off. I tried rebooting, resetting, reinstalling, all with no success. Based on online forums this is a known issue. Looks like they are reselling them as “like-new” but the one I received was defective. And of course the return window closed 4 days ago… UPDATE: Ring community support reached out and sent me a replacement refurbished floodlight cam. The first replacement was also defective (lights would not turn on) but the second replacement works properly. Support was good. Quality assurance on the refurbished items needs improvement.

This is great and works with no issues. Needed a cam with lights and I was not worried about this being reconditioned as I've never had an issue as long as repairs were done right. WORKS GREAT!
