The thumb hole is positioned in such a way that it stresses my thumb and forces me to hold it in an unnatural position. I think that it was meant for hands larger than mine are, although mine are not small by any means. I do not find it very comfortable as a result. This is the left hand brace, as I do not right now need the right hand brace. I think that the ace bandage was much more comfortable for me actually. I got these two braces for occasional tendonitis in the outside of my wrists. It does apply compression on the outside of my hand in this location, but I do not like the way it forces me to hold my thumb like I said. Next thing you know I'll have tendonitis in my thumb. This is not a good trade off for me. I don't think I will be using them much as a result. My husband might like them though as they appear to be made for bigger hands than I have. C'est la vie. Win some; lose some. By the way I think that the design is in the realm of possibility, but not for me. ... show more

These are light weight and comfortable. I wear them at night, I'm a side sleeper and not waking up with aching hands. My last pair were bulky with metal sleeves and uncomfortable. Glad I got these instead.
