Not too much to say about this except that I think this will easily hold two eggs at once which can help shorten prep time. I've only used the most basic tipping the egg yolk for one half of the shell to the other while letting the whites collect in a bowl, or the tried and true Tupperware gadget that leaves something to be desired. This one works so well to really separate the whites without breaking the yolks. Cute as all get out too :)

This is just a super funny/cute way of separating your egg whites from the yolk, not only is it cute and hilarious but it actually does work. However I do find that you do get more egg white just using the shell of the egg and separating back and forth with the shell, this seperator you get your initial egg whites immediately but if you look inside you still have a decent amount left that you can tip back and forth and wait for it to come out before the yolk breaks. I just find this really cute, I think this is a great way to help kids learning how to work with eggs, how fragile they are, this is glass though so be very careful if it is dropped will probably break. I know my husband does not like the feel of raw eggs so my method of the shell bugs him, this would be great for him if he ever needed a separator, it's a little more clean method. Highly recommend!

Sometimes you just have to go manual and this no frills egg separator is the adorable solution to your yolk-saving problems. I had something similar in design to this product before but I have to admit this one looked a whole lot cuter and more appealing. Things to keep in mind: This is not plastic, it is ceramic which means if you're not careful this will absolutely be prone to breakage from a large fall. Based on my experience the bottom of the device is nice and flat so just tuck it in away from any edges and keep your space clear to prevent accidental falls. Depending on how much yolk you're working with you can use this with I'd say about 7-8 eggs which makes it great for a baking tool. If you're trying to go the healthier route and just need egg whites on the go I'd say this simple uncomplicated little tool will fit the bill perfectly. Takes no assembly or struggle, crack your eggs on something else and then just pour all the liquid inside before tipping it over a bowl (or the trash if you're feeling wasteful) to separate the yolk from the white. This is adorable looking and fits the pictures in the ad perfectly. I got mine in the white and yellow and when I'm done using it I just give it a quick clean with a sponge and then put it on my island far away from the edge. Super happy with this and recommend it to others.

This cute chick egg separator arrived carefully packaged and unbroken. I love the way it looks, but it’s not consistent. The yolk tends to block the hole when you try to pour off the egg white. If you jiggle it around too much to get the white to drain out, the yolk can break and slip out through the hole, defeating the purpose. This is what happened with my first attempt. My second time, I was prepared, and was more gentle with better results. Not sure if this is more convenient than just using the egg shells to separate like I usually do. On top of that, you have the extra step of getting out this separator and then also washing it up after. It’s a cute idea, and it makes me smile, but not necessarily convenient. Also, the price was more than twice what it is now when I ordered it! If you have a chicken-loving friend, it might make a cute gift, but it’s not exactly a time saver.

First of all, it's cute. Very cute. Second, you can throw it in the dishwasher. Huge bonus. I love using this for baking and can't imagine life without it now. No more shell in my cakes! Plus it just looks so cute on my counter. Almost a funny little piece of artwork. I dunno. Maybe I just love chickens and eggs, but I'm telling you right now, this thing is fun!
