  • Great affordable outdoor light
This is a very good light for a very good price. I was really impressed with how much light it gives off in my backyard. The picture shown is in the pitch black of a dark night. The motion sensor also works very well and quickly picks up any movement to light up. I've had it up for a few days, and so far the solar panel is able to charge it long enough to keep it on all night. I'm using the setting for dim light all night long and bright light when detected, and it still has enough juice. ... show more

  • AIM THE SOLAR PANEL TOWARDS THE EQUATOR AND THE LIGHT IN ANY DIRECTION THAT YOU WANT!
There had been daily reports of catalytic converter thefts in my area, so I went looking for a light to illuminate my driveway and the vehicles parked there. CEOTIS offered one of these to try out and review. When it arrived several days later, I was surprised by the small package. I soon discovered that there was a lot of light in that box. This was perfect. I wouldn’t have to get any permits, run any wires, nothing extra to buy. I only needed a screwdriver and ladder. I mounted it on a tree next to my driveway. You can see the results in the photos. My main likes are light output (3,500 lumens), battery size (2,400mAh), the ability to remotely mount and aim the solar panel, and price, ($15.00 a piece in the 2pack that I ordered). These have been operational for about a month and I have no dislikes. As I now have three of these, and plan to buy at least two more, I highly recommend these to light up your… An unintended update: Several months ago, I began looking for a few floodlights to illuminate various areas around my house, driveway, and property, for security reasons. Around the same time, I was asked to participate in the Vine Customer Review program. The third item I requested and reviewed, was this same model light. I liked it so much that I purchased two more for $15.00 each, in a two-pack on sale, and had intended to purchase more, but when I was ready, I found that they were “Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.” I was disappointed as that usually means they’re out, finished, and/or gone. As time passed, I purchased similar fixtures from three different vendors and was offered the opportunity to try out several others for review. Some were hard wired; the rest were solar powered. Brightness has ranged from 3000 to 6000 lumens. All were advertised as very flexible yet some were absolutely not. When it comes to anything solar, it is very important that the solar panel be aimed due south if in the northern hemisphere, or due north if in the southern hemisphere, at the “average solar angle” as determined by the mounted location’s latitude, in order to fully charge the battery from summer, when the sun is high in sky, to winter, when the sun is low in sky. My average solar angle is ~30.5°. You can ask your search engine for yours. Looking back at the different solar powered lights that I’ve tried, there were basically two types, those with fixed solar panels and those with detachable solar panels. The former must always mount, and will only illuminate, in the direction of the equator. They must be mounted below any shadows caused by eaves, overhang, or roof, mainly during the summer when those shadows are longest. Not the choice if you are looking to “illuminate various areas around (your) house, driveway, and property…”. For that, you need the latter, like this one offered by CEOTIS. When I noticed on Vine that CEOTIS was offering these for review, I first checked the original site, where they were still listed as “Currently unavailable…”, and since this was a new site, I made a request. It was accepted and delivered three days later. I mounted this one on a tree with the lights facing north-west and the solar panel facing south as shown in the attached pictures, one of which shows this one and another like it mounted next to the driveway. (Since these pictures were taken, I have re-aimed the lights to cover a bigger, broader area) I really like, put my money on, and recommend these Solar Powered Lights with Motion Sensor, by CEOTIS. The design is so much better than the “fixed” type. Once again, I didn’t have to get any permits, run any wires, and there was nothing extra to buy. I only needed to get out the screwdriver and ladder again. The first one of these has been operational for almost three months. As before, my likes are: The ability to separately mount, aim, and tilt, the light fixture The ability to remotely mount, aim, and tilt, the solar panel The included 3000mm (9’-10”) long extension cord The bright light output (3,500 lumens) The battery size (2,400mAh) The price, ($15.00 a piece in a 2-pack on sale). I still have no dislikes. I want more… Footnote: As I go to post this review, I discover that somehow, the two different sites that I got these lights from, at two different times, have combined and my first review is already posted here. I will add this review of the second light as an update. I apologize for any redundancy. ... show more

  • Love lighting up strays walking across yard
CEOTIS Solar Outdoor Lights, 240 LED 3500LM Motion Sensor Lights, IP65 Waterproof 3 Heads. Appears to be well made. Remote works as expected. Motion detection and brightness are good. Like being able to adjust where the light is angled. Reasonably priced.

  • Nice, bright lights for outdoor entrance or pathway
I am reviewing this product "CEOTIS Solar Outdoor Lights, 240 LED 3500LM Motion Sensor Lights" on 8 June 2023. I have owned many solar lights over the years, but this CEOTIS model is part of a new generation that far surpasses prior iterations of this product type. Said to be comprised of 240 individual LED beads, such a pattern can indeed be discerned when examining the light emitting panels. These super-efficient elements appear to be the distinguishing factor that make these lights so much brighter. Another design factor that increases utility is the detached solar panel. Connected to the light body by a generous 120 inch length of wire, the panel can be placed in the optimum location for collecting the. most solar energy during the daylight hours, independent of where the lights are placed. in my installation, the solar panel is mounted on top of an outdoor fence, above the foliage that would hinder sunlight if the panel were mounted to the light fixture itself. Mounting was easily accomplished using the included hardware. Three modes of operation offer flexibility in how the light responds to motion, in sensitivity, and duration of "on" time. I found mode one gave me the most agreeable results, snapping on quickly when motion is detected, but returning to off state soon after and remaining off until motion is again seen. The included infrared remote allows for enabling/disabling the lights and selecting the mode. ... show more

  • Dolor Security Where You Need It!
As someone who has had his van, broken into twice over the last year, it was time to add some more lighting to the front of my house. I do have three cameras out there, but it never seems to be bright enough to capture people during inclement weather. From my experience, it seems like light is the best deterrent to would-be thieves, especially lights that offer motion detection. It’s like a little surprise to say hello I’m here and I see you! When I pulled a slight package out of the box, I was incredibly impressed to see how well built it is. The mountain solar panel on top helps to store up energy during the day, and then, depending on your setting, will pick up anything that walks by from a small dog, to a car. The light is fairly bright, and has the ability to be angled in varying directions. Overall, it’s a pretty fantastic light, and comes with everything you need to mount it as far as hardware and wiring. Installation is easy and it offers protection where you need it. ... show more

  • Nice little solar powered, bright light!!!
I have been looking for a lED light for My back yard. I found this one and gave it a try. I like the solar charging and that works well. It’s a bit hard to install because the mounting bracket is behind the main light and it’s a weird angle to screw it in. The heads of the screws are really small and actually twisted through the plastic bracket on one side and that was hand tightening. I backed it out and screwed it back in, just not to tight. You can mount the solar panel separately also, nice feature. The thing that works strange are the on modes. You cannot just turn on the light. All the on modes have motion sensing and different on times. It seems like it is just made to motion sense on and then turn off after a few Minutes. Kinda strange so we’ll see how it works in the spring when we are outside more. It’s a ready bright light. You can adjust the wing lights to expand the light path. The charging is good. Wish I could just have a turn on and off for certain times. Pretty easy to install. Decent value and works pretty well. Cannot give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Outhouse Upgrade
I realize most people won't use this like we did, but we have a portable toilet down in our meadow where all the outdoor fun happens and its a long trek up to the house to go to the bathroom. So, when we put this light inside our outhouse and screwed the solar panel onto the outside, it was the perfect solution. The bonfire and s'mores don't need to come to an early end when the girls are all afraid of going to the bathroom because there might be spiders in there! Instead, they can see that every nook and cranny is spider-free as soon as they open the door because this light is super bright! I don't know how long it would stay on before the batteries were drained, but it was charged up completely the very first day. ... show more

  • Decent quality, functional motion light with solar that charges sufficient for some uses.
The Solar Outdoor Motion Light by Ceotis, is a great way to put up some security lights without running power. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – Its cheaper quality that is on the lower end of the quality scale, but still decent enough to most likely survive to light up your life. II. Performance – It works pretty good considering. The motion has worked every time I’ve tested it so far, and the solar panel charges enough to get throw most the night. That’ll depend on your location and how much it gets triggered. Having a detached solar panel is a big benefit, so you can better find the sun. It’s also very bright if the battery is high with 240 LED’s. Overall, this is a great budget security light that is easy to install, functions great and can go up anywhere you can drill. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision. ... show more

  • Solar powered motion sensor flood light
This was absolutely perfect to put up in my backyard because I do not know how to do anything wiring related. My son attached it to the siding on the back of my house and that was it we were good to go. I honestly cannot believe it was as easy as it was I thought something like that would be just a little bit difficult but it was super super simple. Where I put it in the way my backyard is it's in full sun almost the entire day so I didn't have to change anything on it I used the short cord that was already attached when it came out of the box. However if you have to put the solar panel farther away for it to get sun they do have a longer cord to attach it to the light and be able to put the solar panel where the sun will touch it. It doesn't have that long of a reach for the motion sensor I want to say 10 or 15 ft. But that actually is good in my case because it doesn't light up unless you're actually coming on my porch so it won't light up if bunnies run through my yard. The remote is awesome so you don't have to climb up on a ladder anytime you want to change the mode or if you need to turn it off for some reason. And the lights are very very bright I like that and you can also adjust the left and the right one so that it can cover a very wide range of area. ... show more

  • Easy to use, very bright
Easily mountable with two screws. Comes with a remote control that can set the system for three modes - bright for 20s on motion, medium light for 20s on motion, or low light for 4h. The light panels can swivel, as can the solar panel, which can also be easily attached to a longer cord to allow for the solar panel to sit in a more optimal location. Quick, easy fix for a motion light. My only complaint is that there is no way to change the light interval to something longer than 20 seconds. ... show more
