As I mentioned before I live in the country and I have a Barn light that lights up the back of the house but pitch black on both side yards. I am very pleased with brightness of these lights. When these lights turn on they cover a very large area. My kids live in the back of the property but when they empty trash or come over you needed to use the flashlight on their phone. Now they don't have to. sometimes the cats or the dogs will set off but all I have to do is look out the window to see what turned it on. I hope they last as long as they say they do because these are so far the brightest solar lights I have. Great deal for the price of 2 ... show more

    • Not much range
I purchased 6 of these and installed them around various parts of my property. They are very easy to install and set up. They can be put just about anywhere. The price is hard to beat but there are some shortcomings. The motion sensor and light output has very little range. I wanted these to be mounted high enough to avoid tampering. If you install them more than 12 feet off the ground there is very little motion sensing area available and the light intensity becomes faint. The swivels for adjusting and holding the lights are very weak and may fail and distort under strong rain or wind. When motion is sensed the lights will only stay on for 20 seconds. I wish they had increased it to 60 seconds. Overall I would give these 3 star if not for the incredible price. ... show more

Let two of them charge in bright open Florida sunlight for 3 days before testing. One works perfectly, while the other flickered uncontrollably, was unresponsive to the remote, and eventually just stopped working entirely. I hate to return them because I already went through the trouble of installing the one that worked. I would also note the distance for the motion activation is much shorter than anticipated. I purchased these to provide some light in my small back yard for my two small dogs. Unfortunately, the one that works only senses my movement about 10-15ft away, and barely ever picks up on the dogs movement. It's mounted about 10ft up the exterior wall, directly about their dog door, with the sensor pointed downward at a 45 degree angle. I'm hoping the seller will remedy this, but I will most likely end up having to return them. Luckily, I purchased a different brand's 2 pack on Amazon that are much brighter than the one that worked, and both of them work. Too bad, because those don't have detachable solar panels like these do, and I really like that feature. I will update my review if seller is responsive. Update #1 (upgraded from 1 to 3 stars for excellent customer service experience): Seller contacted me in response to my review. I did not reach out to them, which shows they actually pay attention to their reviews. They offered feedback in terms of positioning of the lights, some options for resetting the lights, but in the end, they offered to either fully refund the purchase, or ship a replacement free of charge. I chose to give the product a second chance, as I was genuinely hoping it would be useful to me and my dogs. The replacement shipped very quickly, and their customer service even followed up to confirm receipt of the package, once again showing excellent customer service. Unfortunately I have not yet had the opportunity to sufficiently charge the replacements, as since I have received them, I have had several days of full overcast days and non-stop rain (gotta love Florida!). I will update my review once I have had sufficient opportunity to test the replacement product. Depending on how they work out, I will either keep the rating at 3 if they also fail to meet my expectations, or upgrade to a 4 or 5 star if they meet or exceed my expectations. At the very least, I would recommend trying these, solely based off the company's willingness to back their product. ... show more
