Taking a star away from this review because it doesn't remember settings, so every time we turn the light on at the switch, a natural human gesture, it is a horrible cool white light, regardless of where I last set it. It really would be nice to just tie something like this into a Home Assistant type of setup, where the app can set the light temp and brightness with a voice command. Otherwise, this is a great fan. Install was extremely easy, and the way the blades are attached was interesting. Instead of having an arm that makes them stick farther out, the blades mount inside the round shield, putting them closer to the center of gravity of the motor. I didn't need to do any kind of balancing. The install was as simple as hanging a simple bracket, attaching the 3 wires from the switch, and then just putting everything in place. I almost felt silly asking for help from my stepson after it was all finished.

Love everything about this fan! Instructions and installation was fairly simple, and it works great. I like the stylish, low-profile design, and it fits well in my office, which isn't too large. For this price, I think it's a very good value, and I would recommend it!

I struggled with giving a 5 as I don't like that unless an item is really something amazing. I decided to give this a 5 in large part because I have installed several ceiling fans lately. The fan this replaced was twice the money and not even half as well made. I installed a different fan for my wife a week ago that cost the same as this one, and that model was all plastic. It was a pain to install, and it has some issues with not being balanced. The good: -The housing for everything is metal (actual real metal, lol). -I think that the blades are plastic, though they could be pressed wood/particle board with a vinyl covering. They look nice with black on one side, and sort of a slate grey as an option on the other side. -Everything is nice. It feels well made/solid and the fit and finish is very good. -Relative to several others from a similar cost to 2x as much, this is a very good value. -It has an app to run from your phone -The remote is still cheap, but better than most these days. -Lots of options, light types, speeds, reverse, wind types, sleep function, etc. -Mostly (~95%) balanced -Good for low ceilings -Comes with several attachment options (nice screws, washers, etc.) -Well packaged The bad: -The instructions had me scratching my head for a bit. I install a lot of stuff, and I was glad I have the experience. After installing it, it is not bad at all, but the booklet that comes with it could be better. -The app has a sub 2 star rating, but it is not all that bad either. It is a little flaky to get installed/connected and I suspect that is why. Once connected, it is ok, but could be a little more polished. -It is kind of basic. Nice basic, but if you have a million dollar house maybe you might want to upscale? -It is not really made to drop down with extensions, though the manual seems to indicate that it may? Do some research if that is your need just to be sure. I have a low ceiling so I didn't care. In summary: I am quite excited about this fan. The prior one for this room was twice the price and junk with half the features, and all plastic. In a world where everything just seems to be turning cheaper and cheaper plastic, this is a nice change. If it lasts, I'll be super happy. If it doesn't last, I'll update this review. -All the best.

I purchased three of these fans for bedrooms in my new home that didn’t have a light fixture at all. I had an electrician wire and install these fans. The RGB light would randomly turn on on all three fans simultaneously and we could not figure out why for weeks. We finally found out that when we turned on our upstairs bathroom vent fan, the RGB light would partially turn on (mind you, these are in completely different rooms). We then realized it would turn on every time our HVAC kicked on too. This means our light would be completely off and it would light up rainbow in the middle of the night. We contacted our electrician to come see what was going on. She said that the fans were not even tied to wiring connected to our bathroom vent fan or our HVAC. As a test, she turned the normal light for the fan “on” and her tool showed that it was getting power to it. Then, she turned the light off and turned the bathroom vent fan on to activate the RGB light and her tool showed that the fan was getting no power yet the RGB light would still partially turn on. This means that the RGB feature can randomly have interference with other things in your home that are not even tied to the same electrical wiring. Absolutely bizarre and completely annoying. She said she has been an electrician for 17 years and has never seen anything like it. I do not recommend buying unless you like your fan to spontaneously look like you are having a rave at 3am. Even more annoying considering we have a baby who wakes up when the fan spontaneously lights up rainbow when the HVAC kicks on.

Over it looks fine, the blades are fairly cheap looking but it’s a good size for our nursery. It would be nice to have at least one more setting lower than even the lowest speed, because it is quite fast. I don’t suspect we would ever need it higher than the 1-2 speed setting, and there are 6! Instructions were fairly straightforward besides one confusing part where it told us there were 6 screws but there were only 3 on our fan. Last complaint is that our light switch seems to cycle the fan between different temperature and brightness settings, I suspect this is due to the fan and LED just being cheap.
