I bought curtains with grommets here on Amazon ... they were twice as long as I needed, so I chopped them in half and used these to make curtains for another window. It went fast, and was super easy... just make sure you buy the setter, as well as the grommets, so you end up with a professional job. Mine looks as good as the original... purchasing more now! They did NOT, however, come with instructions. So here they are: 1) Trace the circle where you want them with sewers' chalk or a pen/pencil/marker - the edge of the fabric will be inside the grommet, and so will not show. 2) Cut out the circles - once you cut out one and set it you'll see the circle has to be cut right on the line - or perhaps slightly over it to fit the front grommet in the hole. 3) Put the front grommet inside the fabric hole, place the back of the grommet on the back of the fabric. 4) Put the bottom of the setter INSIDE the hole in the fabric, under both the top and bottom grommets. Place the top of the setter on the top grommet. It only makes sense one way - the curved top of the grommet fits over the top of the top grommet, leaving a flat surface upon which to use the mallet. 5) Tap gently with a mallet, then harder, until it the grommet is fully set. Your raw edges of fabric will be inside the metal grommet where you cannot see it. Hang it up! :-)

I looked everywhere for metal grommets that could work with jacquard lined fabric. I had experience with lighter fabric and plastic grommets, but knew this required something stronger and in the right size. Plus, once I found them, I thought I might have to use an expensive tool to attach them. Well…these are the best. The inexpensive tool that is suggested to buy with these worked out perfectly. The front of the grommets look no different than commercial grade grommeted curtains. Attached is a picture of the back for reference. The way the front and back join together makes them very strong and secure. After first trying rings, realizing I did not have the right drape, I almost gave up. This grommet option made all the difference. So pleased!!

These worked great for draperies. I highly recommend them and plan to buy more. My drapery fabric was a slub linen weight and I folded it over a non-woven 4" header stiffener (kind of like an interfacing weight). The grommets held well through two thickness of fabric plus the header tape. I did purchase the tool they suggested and I cut out the circles with a pair of scissors. I stitched through where I was going to cut out first so all the thicknesses would stay together without shifting. Finished product looked classy and professional even though I am an amateur.

The product description listed that there would be instructions included with the grommets and there was nothing other than the 8 grommets.

These worked perfectly! They were super easy to install and look great. I especially like the fact that they don't snap in. With just a light tapping using a hammer, I was able to bend them securely into place. This provides an added layer of security, as the fit is nice and snug. I HIGHLY recommend them!
