First one was missing a part so I returned it. Amazon immediately sent a replacement. The installation video makes it very easy. The printed instructions are not up to date with the way the wiring is done (much easier now) and not really clear, so watch the video. Our old fans had separate wall switches for the light and the fan (two separate hot wires) so you have to abandon one with a wire nut. The wall switch for the light is now non-functional (dummy switch). Helpful hint: when mounting the hanging bracket to the box, remove the wiring buss on the side so you can properly access the mounting bolts. Then re-install it. Much more modern with led lighting that is adjustable and no more getting on a ladder to reach the switch it reverse the direction.

Huge gripe with the instructions. The orientation of the part that mounts to the motor is upside down. Loseading to me initially installing the blades upside down, then having to take them off and flip them around. Very obnoxious. Remote takes some getting used to. Not self explanatory at first glance. Also when you switch it off completely with a power switch, doesn't remember settings when you turn it back on. Basically built to be left powered on at all times. That aside, it was fairly easy to install. Very straight forward. Once in it is whisper quiet and offers great airflow. Also looks great. At it's current price of 70 dollars it offers a lot of features. Have not tried the app to control yet as I really do not need another app on my phone for my ceiling fan and my wifi is congested enough with smart devices. Might try to flesh out review, but initial impressions is this is pretty great. Expect to get a lot of use out of it. So will report back with any issues or failures.

I ordered this fan to replace a simple light fixture in a bedroom. It came exceptionally well packed, meaning receiving damaged parts is unlikely. The installation instructions were fairly well written with good drawings. 80% of the installation effort was to install a junction box in the ceiling. The rest was straightforward and pretty easy. The fan works quite well with the remote control. It has 6 speeds and can move lots of air. It’s very quiet while operating. The LED light consists of 2 sets of LEDs, one set for warm color, and one set for cool white. It adjusts smoothly from warm to cool color by varying the intensity of each set of LEDs. Clever. It also dims from fully bright to quite low. It remembers the color and brightness setting if powered off with the wall switch. One minor issue is that the ceiling cover piece doesn’t have a trim piece to cover the screws, but that’s what the description photo shows. So I can’t complain, especially at this price point. I’ve installed a dozen ceiling fans over the years, and this is the first one ever that didn’t wobble at any speed. That saves me a lot of time and effort as there is no need to balance the blade weights. Very nice. Every ceiling fan maker should strive to achieve this feature. Overall, I recommend this fan.

If you're planning on installing any kind of ceiling light or fan, be aware that you'll need an adapter like the one shown in the photos posted! The "old work" hardware mounting screws don't line up with the modern new fixtures screw holes. This is very unfortunate in that you can't mount this or any other fans without making or buying an adapter. I like this fan, it looks nice and operates very well. I am not overly impressed with the light changing colors and brightness feature because it won't stay set. When you turn the lighting or fan the setting are erased. I think that may have been an oversight, because it's annoying to have to remember your setting and to adjust them again. Another correction that needs to be made is the lack of batteries in the remote control. How frustrating it is to get the fixture installed buy to have to go get batteries to test it. Good potential, but needs a few changes. 2 stars

This white 52 inch ceiling fan has a DC motor which is push-button reversible and has six fan settings and a breeze setting. Installation was also a breeze, it is very similar to most other ceiling fans in that the down rod hangs from a little semicircle ball from a fan bracket connected to a fan box that is braced between joists. It also includes hardware to mount the bracket directly to the ceiling (assuming you hit a stud) but in order to be to code it will need a junction box anyway so you may as well use a fan box and discard the lag screws. The fan blades are reversible and light wood colored on the opposite side. I used the short down rod and hangs at a good height. As far as noise it is very quiet when running though I did hear a bit of a tick or grind at first startup. Will keep an ear on it as to the longevity of the motor. I would have preferred a white remote control with the white fan. It also could have used one more magnetic trim plate between the cup that sits against the motor and the ceiling cup to hide the screws. I haven't tried the wifi functionality, but as far as ceiling fans go this is about as good as any you'll find at the big box store. I did notice some RFI from the LED lights and DC motor raising the noise floor on my amateur radios from this fan. Also, the remote holder that affixes to the wall holds the remote so tightly that the battery door is often pulled off the remote when you try to remove it from the holder.
