It is not waterproof product. Waring says that "Can Not be Dipped in Water." It also says that it is 'Water Splash Proof' in 5Core Technology features. If you need a waterproof product, it is not what you are looking for.

Received this today and immediately put it to use. I'm please so far. All sockets work with no issues. The box is black, and the power button has a synthetic waterproof cover over it. I can't tell how the rest of the box is waterproof without disassembling it, bit it does appear to be sealed tightly and I can't find anywhere water could enter it except for the socket holes themselves. As is always the case with these, I would not submerge them in water of coruse, but I do expect this will resist moisture well enough in my location. The plus is thick and plus in vertically such that you could plug it into the bottom plug on a socket and it would keep the top plug clear, letting the cable run directly down to the floor. You could also mount it on a socket that is upside down such as on a workbench and run it vertically, though I don't know if that is recommended or not for any electrical reasons. The connection between the plug and the cable is all one solid sealed piece and there are no places for water to enter the cable housing. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I have purchased heavy duty water proof strips before, and they seem a bit stronger and industrial grade, but for most indoor uses this should do just fine. This is NOT a safe replacement to a GFCI socket, and I would not suggest using this in a bathroom or kitchen area near water and water pipes, purely because that is a recipe for disaster no matter how waterproof a product of any kind says it is. But this would certainly be better than a standard cheap surge protector in terms of water resistance. ... show more

I like that this power strip has 15 ft, so I am able to plug it into my patio light. I found it hard to push my small plug for mosquito light onto the power stripe. I had to use another power stripe's plug to force into this power stripe first, then I am able to plug in the mosquito light. We only had a small rain so far. Got this to go with an electric blower for the driveway and it works perfectly. Very durable, I drag it across the carport and driveway and no signs of wear yet. I waited to do the review to see if it works well with Christmas lights and it does. I ran a couple strands of lights and an inflatable with no issues. This power strip powers up well and the sockets really grab plugs tightly. I was worried at first because it was hard to push a plug in, then there was a click and it was held in there very nicely.
