The perfect string
Style: 3-Pack Size: Medium, 13-56
A few years ago I dedicated myself to only acoustic guitar. Since then I’ve tried a variety of strings and I’ve come to the conclusion that the daddario phosphor bronze are simply the most consistent from set to set and for some reason unknown to me seem to have the least problems with intonation on a standard tuned guitar. I have dabbled with both the xt and xs variants as well. For me, there’s are hardly any difference in durability between the standard ej phosphors and the xt’s. The xs does last considerably longer but the feel is much different. I also suspect they have slightly more tension due to the coating but I have not looked at any actual numbers. Im not sure if others have found this to be true, but I cleaned my strings after every practice/play session and for longer periods of practice I will often clean them several times. This significantly increases the string life. They might not retain the brand new zing but the sound is still very pleasing. I will let them go for a full week with several hours a day play time. This is acceptable to me. If I played less they might last longer. All in all a great product. If you need further endorsement, Glaser guitars in Nashville doesn’t used anything else but Daddario. I’d wager Mr. Glaser knows a thing or two. ... show more

Unleashing Sonic Brilliance: D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 13-56 Acoustic Guitar Strings
Style: 3-Pack Size: Medium, 13-56
D'Addario, a name synonymous with acoustic excellence, has once again captivated guitarists with their Phosphor Bronze 13-56 Acoustic Guitar Strings. As a dedicated musician, I recently ventured into the realm of these strings, and their tonal magic has left me utterly impressed. Here's a detailed review of the D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings that seamlessly combine craftsmanship and sonic brilliance. From the moment I delicately wound the first string onto my guitar's peg, I knew I was in for a treat. The D'Addario packaging ensures that the strings reach you in pristine condition, ready to unleash their sonic potential. The installation process is a breeze, guided by the consistency and smoothness of these well-crafted strings. The standout feature of the D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings is their unique tonal character. The use of phosphor bronze alloy, known for its warmth and resonance, imparts a distinct personality to these strings. With a gauge of 13-56, the strings offer the perfect balance of tension and tonal depth. The bass strings resonate with a rich and earthy warmth, while the treble strings shimmer with clarity and brilliance. This tonal complexity elevates every note I play, adding layers of expressiveness to my music. Durability is a hallmark of D'Addario strings, and the Phosphor Bronze series is no exception. Despite their thicker gauge, these strings maintain their integrity over extended periods of use, retaining their clear and vibrant tone. This longevity speaks volumes about the quality of materials and craftsmanship invested in these strings. The higher tension brought about by the gauge enhances the playability of the strings. From intricate fingerstyle passages to powerful strumming, these strings respond with precision and sensitivity. The uniform feel across the strings ensures a consistent playing experience, whether I'm navigating intricate melodies or exploring complex chord progressions. D'Addario's commitment to environmental sustainability shines through in their packaging, reflecting their dedication to reducing their environmental impact and supporting a greener planet. In conclusion, the D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 13-56 Acoustic Guitar Strings are a testament to D'Addario's legacy of excellence and innovation. Their distinctive tonal palette, durability, and playability make them a top choice for acoustic guitarists aiming to expand their sonic horizons. Whether you're strumming for leisure, recording in a studio, or performing on stage, these strings deliver a symphony of brilliance and reliability. D'Addario continues to set the standard for superior musical experiences, and the Phosphor Bronze strings are a shining testament to their commitment to musicians worldwide. ... show more

Awesome Price. My favorite strings
Style: 3-Pack Size: Custom Light, 11-52
These strings are my go to strings for my epiphone jumbo acoustic. The strings have a great sound and they last. I do a lot of finger picking and the sound is clear and bright but not to bright. 3 packs for an incredible price. My guitar store charges the same for one pack.

Felt they were pricey considering the cheap packaging, otherwise they’re D’Addario’s.. sounds great first show, lasts a fair amount of time, quality assurance is definitely showing up for work on this one y’all, but YUCK. Strings in bags.😥

Highly recommended. Very good strings.
Style: 3-Pack Size: Light, 12-53
I usually play classical (nylon string) guitar, but have an Ovation deep-bowl acoustic electric as well and after the original strings wore out, I never have found strings that I really liked (don't ask me why I never thought about contacting Ovation and asking them what they use from the factory. One of those duh things I didn't even think of until just now). Based on reviews and questions answered here on Amazon, I purchased this triple-set of strings. Instant gratification. First, they tuned up quickly and retained their tune on a relatively respectable basis (no new string holds tune perfectly for the first couple of days, but these retained tune fairly well). The sound is excellent, the playability comfy. The tone of my Ovation was back. Here are my itemized observations: * First, three sets for $13 (currently). Cannot beat the value for price. * BRILLIANCE. What many people call "bright", brilliance is the opposite of "dull". Some strings sound dull right out of the package. These strings are brilliant, bringing out the full tone and maximum volume from the guitar. * TONE. The natural tone of the guitar is allowed to shine through, no hint of "tinniness", "plunk" or "twang". * MELLOW. Mellow is difficult to define, but the best definition I've heard is, "Ah, that sounds nice." Mellow is a string settling into a guitar and becoming part of the guitar. It's a pleasantness that doesn't grate on your ears when you pluck a string. These strings are medium-mellow, just enough to allow one to enjoy the sound without falling asleep. : ) * BALANCE. At first the E overtoned the b and e. But as the strings settled that became less pronounced and the strings balanced right out. The trebles became clearly audible while the E and A provided just the right touch of bass. * COMFORT. The 12-53mm diameter of these strings is comfortable to the fingers. Thicker strings are often more difficult to play and can even damage some guitars. Lighter gauge tends to cut into the fingers unless the guitar has excellent action. These strings are just right-- especially the 53mm E, which provides the proper amount of bass without overkill or difficulty in strumming. SUMMARY: These are excellent strings, which doesn't surprise me since I've use D'Addario classical guitar strings for years. Martin and GHS are both good strings, but somehow D'Addario just shines. Thanks to Amazon enthusiasts who helped me decide to give these a try. Highly recommended. ... show more
