The media could not be loaded. My cat doesn't like drinking water from a small plate, and since I occasionally have to travel, I decided to buy this water fountain a few months ago. She absolutely loves it and now drinks water more frequently. I no longer have to worry about her water supply for at least a week! The fountain is quiet and doesn’t make any weird noises when the water level is low (which was a problem I had with other products). For this type of water fountain, the motor is usually the weak point - they tend to stop working after a while for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, this happened with every other fountain I bought before :-(. Today, when the motor stopped working on this fountain, I assumed it was the same issue again. I was about to buy a new one when I noticed a sticker on the side reminding me to clean the motor weekly, and there was an email for customer support. I emailed them, not really expecting a reply :-) but Bella responded quickly with a video on how to clean the motor, saying it solves 99% of the issues. Honestly, I didn’t think it would work, but I gave it a shot anyway. Guess what - it worked perfectly! I’m really happy and grateful for the help, which is why I’m writing this review. I usually don’t leave reviews on Amazon because I’m busy, but I think this company deserves more business, so I made the time to post this.

I bought two fountains (one black and one pink) for my cats as a Christmas present and can say it is worth the purchase after having it for almost half a year. One thing to keep in mind is that the fountain needs to be plugged in to a power source at all times to work, so if you would prefer a fountain without wires please keep that in mind. Placement of fountain will also be limited as a result. Also, once the fountain is low on water it does start to make more noise, a blend of mechanical and the water running, but this issue can be quickly resolved by filling the fountain up with more water. In regards to pros: The fountain is very easy to maintain. The pump needs to be cleaned, and the carbon filter has to be changed out often (the foam filter monthly), but the fountain is easy to take apart to do the cleaning and the changing of the filters. My cats drink enough water that I have to fill up the fountain to the maximum line once a week, but it's easy to fill up the fountain again with water, too. The water is always cool and refreshing as a result of constantly running through the fountain system. The fountains look nice around the house and make for a good addition as well as keeping my cats hydrated. The customer service is also very quick to respond. Would highly recommend this fountain as long as you are good on keeping up on maintenance and are willing to extend the extra cost of purchasing extra filters in the future!

UPDATE: changed to a 4 star review. After I bought a new one, the new one came with an instructional video on how to clean the pump. The first one did not. Once I cleaned the pump my old fountain seems to be working just fine - time will tell if it continues! Took a star away because I wish my first purchase would have included pump cleaning instructions so I could have avoided the hassle and expense of purchasing a second fountain. I really liked this water fountain because it never leaked was easy to keep clean and generally, my cat didn’t seem annoyed by it. It’s really quiet and so easy to maintain. Unfortunately, less than a year of owning it, the pump stopped working. I ended up ordering a Second water fountain in the same brand because I’ve had such horrible luck with other water fountains being leaky/hard to clean/loud. I really hope fountain number two lasts just a little bit longer. Otherwise I’m going to have to go back to just a regular bowl of water. I’m fortunate the fountain started malfunctioning while I was home and was able to immediately ensure my cat still had access to fresh water. This would be a perfect water fountain if it had more longevity.

I bought this water fountain for my two cats and it has been amazing! My one cat likes to drink ger water by scooping it with her paws. This has helped keep the water hair free and clean for both of them! The fountain is virtually quiet and keeps the water cycling well. I do clean it about every 2 or 3 days and deep clean it ever week to keep the pump clean. I highly recommend.

It works well until the motor begins to make loud noises and eventually fails. The company will send you a replacement part for free, but we're on our second motor in less than a year and it's beginning to fail again.
