This Billionchains Cat Door 4 Switching Modes Locking for Interior Door works well enough. It is made out of plastic so it is easy to break during installation if you aren't careful. I personally don't plan on using the lock but it is interesting to know I could. All my cats can fit threw the door even though it looks small. ... show more

We bought one of those fairly large outdoor cat houses with 3 different doors but each one is like plastic strips, a great clear swinging door, and then the door that is solid and locks closed. I bought this "Billionchains Cat Door" and replaced the solid door that locks. So now all 3 doors the cat can see through and easily walk in/out too. Easy escape when another cat comes up the deck or a raccoon wants to party. Very easy to install. ... show more

This is a pretty decent cat door.. besides having to cut out a hole in the door, it was pretty easy to install.. . My cats had no problem using it right away and so far this door has been very convenient with no issues at all

    • Instructions are bad, frame prone to cracking
The instructions say this pet door can be installed without removing the door first --- pictures show cutting the hole with the door in place and directions don't say to remove the door first. This is wrong, the door has to be removed and put on sawhorses to have enough room to work and to avoid saw damage to the floor. The outer frame material is a little brittle and prone to crack while firmly wedging the pet door into the opening cut in the big door, be sure measurements are correct before attempting it. nice cat door, works very well and is very sturdy. however. if you are not comfortable making holes in doors to install this, you will have to get someone to install it for you. the locking mechanism works really well and is strong. cats have also not figured out how to mess with it yet so thats always a bonus. overall a very nice product ... show more
