    • Don’t expect non-stick performance on foods like eggs or pancakes ok for bacon, meats and vegetables
Well cast, heavy, and accurately sized. Cast iron is (ceramic coated) which helps considerably with rust, but impedes getting a good non-stick buildup like uncoated cast iron can attain. Both sides are coarser in texture than I expected. Much coarser than any steel flat grill. You will have to tilt the grill, or push with a spatula to get any fats to drain off the griddle. The three holes are in a good position, but if your grill is on a flat surface there will not be enough slope for self-draining. The raised (signature grill mark bars) do retain more heat and mark the meat, but they also make it nearly impossible to use meat with any significant fat because the drain path is difficult and a spatula can’t reach in to push. If you are experienced with a good, well seasoned, and maintained flat grill you will be disappointed. This is not that. However, it is useful for what it can do well which is reduce flare-up, and improve temperature control when doing burgers, brats and dogs, searing shrimp or scallops or sautéing veggies and other high temperature tasks that can be problematic on a normal gas grill . I love my Napoleon and this does make it more useful and versatile. It is not, however, remotely similar to using a flat griddle. ... show more

Ended up settling on this model of griddle for my Charbroil Infared grill. Works like a charm! Not too big. Just be sure to season properly before first use.
