I've been wanting to get an espresso machine now for several years, but the cost is an issue for me. We really don't drink a lot of espresso, but want to make espresso martinis and lattes occasionally. This uses Nespresso Original pods and says it is 20 BAR for good foam. And it does. We took all the tape off, ran some water through it as described, and started making espressos. This makes a great espresso! It is a bit tough to open the top, you kind of have to grab the lid with one hand and hold down the machine itself with another hand to lift it up. That said, when opened it actually pops the old pod into a holding container underneath it so you don't have to remove the old one. Easy peasy. Selecting your size is easy, just turn the knob to one of the 4 size selections and press the start button. It only takes about 20 seconds to brew a small cup of espresso. One thing, this thing is pretty loud. I mean small engine loud. I won't knock off a star for it as I have a popular single serve coffee machine that is notorious for being loud, so we're kind of used to it. But still, it makes a great espresso.

I about to make a confession. I often travel with one of these machines. Well, only on road trips, but...... My husband brought the first one back from Europe. When it died, I tried replacing it with a generic one, which is solidly just OK. This one- for the same price-is VERY GOOD. What really distinguishes it is the ability to create four distinct beverages from each capsules. We used to run each pod twice to get a sort of long shot, but this has a button for that! And, if you prefer an even longer americano, it has a button for that too. It is simple to use, does not require clean up after each shot like a regular machine, and brews a wicked pull. If you like your coffee strong and black, you cannot go wrong.

I love deep rich coffee flavors and being frugal at home, so this Casabrews espresso maker is a wonderful answer to that. It would be a great use for an office break room or teachers lounge setting as well. The disposable espresso capsules to purchase for use in with this machine must be the Original Capsule. I found many options for purchase through Amazon and selected an organic Italian variety package. Whats nice about this machine: *The large water tank holding 21 fluid oz. *The suction feet holding it in place on the counter. *The used capsule receptacle that holds many, so you empty after many uses. *The simple turn knob selection between Ristretto, Espresso, Lungo, and Americano. *The overall slim design of the machine. Only 2 issues for me: One was at the initial learning how to use it, the instructions to turn it on didn't match with the machine, but that was easy to figure out and now I'm set. Two is how the capsules receptacle gets pulled out is challenging for me. That too might just be a matter of finding a way that works and continuing that way. All in all, it's an excellent value considering how much money and time is saved from not going into a coffee shop. The convenience of having this espresso machine quickly make a delicious hot beverage at home, office, or school is well worth the money spent. ($99 at the time of this review)

What a fun new addition to my kitchen! It was simple to take pieces apart, hand wash, & put back together prior to 1st use. Directions "clearly" state to remove the plastic plug from the water reservoir!!! Apparently, if you don't, it will leak all over the counter. I had zero issues with the "test" cup of plain water or my cup of actual nespresso. And, that 1st cup was awesome!!! It is a real space saver & that was required for me. It's simple to use. It comes packaged very securely. Directions booklet is adequate for all needed info except it does not tell you which direction to insert the nespresso pod. Ivhad to Google that. Otherwise, I am thrilled!
