I have carpel tunnel and have to wear a wrist brace when I sleep so I don't wake up with tingly fingers. I bought this as a replacement for my Mueller wrist brace I got from an OT a few years ago. The Mueller brand has completely fallen apart, like the mesh support and the pocket that holds the metal brace. This new one seems like it has a lot more padding/support within the structure of the sleeve and the metal brace is enclosed so it won't slide out (like the Mueller one did). I suffer from chronic Osteoporosis, Tendonitis and now carpal tunnel Syndrome, this brace gives a good degree of support and relief and unlike my physician supplied brace is comfortable to keep on all night. The picture shows 2 braces, the one on the left is my physician supplied brace, the one on the right is the Zofore brace. The physician brace is 3 inches from the bottom of the thumb hole which barely covers my wrist. The Zofore is 5 inches from the bottom of the thumb hole which gives more support and stability to my wrist. The Zofore is easy to to put on as it has just the 2 varelco fasteners and is easily adjustable for tightness. The other difference is that the physician supplied brace had a co-pay that far exceeded what i paid for the Zofore (live and learn I guess). ... show more

I’ve been an athlete my whole life and this is the first time in 30 years I injure my wrist. Do be exact my ulnar was sprained. This is the only brace that has helped me recover from my injury. I am still using it to play basketball but I did have to remove the metal splint that runs through the bottom but this is the only brace that has made me safe. This brace is unbelievably comfortable, supportive, well-made and gets the job done without my fingers being constricted which means I can continue to type on my keyboard. In particular, most braces have flimsy openings for the thumb which quickly get stretched out & ineffective. I seem to have developed carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand at the ripe old age of 30. I was in a fair amount of pain a few nights ago and figured immobilizing my wrist and hand for a bit would help ease my discomfort. It arrived less than 24 hours after I placed the order and I put it on almost immediately. It is difficult to perform certain tasks while wearing, such as driving and typing. That said, I mostly wear it at night so this typically won’t be an issue. I knocked one star because it isn’t very comfortable and definitely not very breathable but it works so well that I can mostly put aside that little detail. I’ve tried over 10 different products to help stabilize the wrists and this is by far been the best at doing so. It offers great stabilization. Thanks to the metal you could say strut that’s going through it. The cool thing about the metal is that you don’t really feel it meaning it doesn’t get in the way or hurt you. I’ve actually slept with this and it is completely fine. It’s so far help me with straightening out my hand and help me lift a little bit more. I do not have any function of my hand at all. I cannot grip or hold anything at all. This is used in conjunction with other medical devices that I bought on Amazon to help me stabilize and strengthen my right hand. PS – do not wait for a doctor to tell you you need this, it took me 15 years to just figure this out on my own. Give it a try, you might find it extremely useful. ... show more

I ordered left and right S/M since I have small wrists and they fit fine. Each brace has two velcro straps and the metal support piece on the inside of brace. I highly recommend.
