The scooter was well packaged. I'm the kind of person who follows instructions to the T, so I felt like they could have been more clear. There is an assembly video on the product page that was helpful (it was a different model than the one I purchased so some things were different). In all, assembly is about 15 minutes. The battery comes with some charge (I've put about 10 miles on so far without recharging it), so it can be immediately used. I was a little nervous about getting one of these as I knew my kids would want to ride it but I was also concerned about them falling. I really like that it has 3 selectable speeds. Speed #1 doesn't exceed 9 miles an hour (which isn't very fast when riding it), speed #2 goes to around 16 and speed #3 goes as fast as it will go. The scooter operates in the exact same manner regardless of what speed is selected, it just limits how fast it will go. It will go about 18.5 mph when I'm on it, but I'm about 180 pounds. I'm sure it goes faster if someone lighter is riding. I'm 6'2" and a little cramped (I'm told I look too big for the scooter), but don't feel uncomfortable on it. The basket is useful if I'm going up to the park and need to bring a few items. There's a light up headlight and taillight for dusk/night riding. The kickstand works as it should and the brakes do their job. The horn is just a bell that would basically hit with a spring loaded metal knob, but gets the job done. My kids love riding it. I like using it to get around the neighborhood. The battery life seems to be adequate for our use. Overall, it seems to be a great value for an electric scooter/bike. ... show more

Its really amazing how useful this is. I originally bought it for my daughter who does not like standing on a scooter. Not only she likes it and uses it a lot, I use it for some grocery shopping. Bucket in the back makes it so easy to carry stuff. It is very sturdy with me weighing close to 200 lbs and me carrying close to 50 lbs of stuff from store, it was able to go up the hill at 15 mph. Range wise, I do not know how long it will last but I have ran it for atleast 20 miles and it still was showing me 2 bars. Its very easy to use with disc brakes, it is very easy and safe. It has enough power to go fast enough that I can use it for getting groceries from 4 miles away but is not very fast that I feel scared with kids using it as well. Height can be adjusted and my son uses it as a electric scooter and prefers standing. Only thing I can think of that can be added is Speedometer and Odometer like in some of the ebikes. ... show more

I purchased this scooter for my father-in-law to get around town. She is of age (elderly) and the speed and safety of this scooter has suited him well. He has comfort and safety and its not to much for him to handle. He can walk and push it along when needed with no fuss or added pressure. His last scooter was very heavy and at times it went too fast. The design of this scooter is perfect for and he sits with great comfort. So are so good wihen it comes to battery life. This a fun little scooter to provide some independence for my 14 year old with special needs. The basket is very convenient. The price is great then there's the cost of shipping which is about the same as the price of the scooter. There is one major design flaw in my opinion. To engage the scooter thee is a key. Unfortunately the placement of the key is a major design flaw. It is located at the bottom in the area where a stand would be. My son tipped the scooter and it fell over bending the key. This has happened more than once. The bent key then makes the scooter no longer operable. Included with the scooter are 2 keys. I had to make a new key. You can't go to Jome Depot, Walmart, or any other place with a key machine or a pwrson to operate the key equipment. I had to go to a specialty key place (thisbkey shop duplicated keys for cars, boats, etc). Otherwise it is a fun little scooter with adequate power. DO NOT DO IT! Where do I start!? Scooter came DIRTY! Dirty! Dirty tires and floor board if you will. That’s the first thing secondly, no basket which isn’t a huge deal but… the basket has the taillights on it! The plug in for the taillights just hangs because no basket! Charged this scooter all night to be sure it had a good charge, I’m 150lbs and it quit while Inwas going up a small grade! The customer service number is Chinese or something and Amazon is helpless.
