I bought the 1000W version of this scooter, and overall it’s been a good experience so far. The fat tires and suspension make the ride feel stable on rough pavement and gravel, and the seat is comfortable enough for longer trips. The 1000W motor has solid power for everyday use and gets up to speed smoothly. Assembly was simple since most of it comes already put together. The basket is handy for quick errands, and the display and lights are easy to see. As for battery life, it really depends on how and where you ride. The range can vary based on speed, terrain, and rider weight, but it’s been enough for normal daily use and short commutes. Braking feels responsive, and overall the scooter has a sturdy, well‑built feel to it.     • Short learning curve
The scooter works great, once you figure out how to use it. The instructions referenced using the handle bar throttle. Only problem, this model has nothing on the handles as pictured in instructions. We took this out and tested a variety of methods to get it to power on and ride. We watched the videos online, but they did not accurately portray how these work. What we finally discovered is that there is no throttle, or other control accessible by hand. We found that in order to trigger the motor, you must first use it like a regular scooter and use your feet to get moving. After about 15-20 feet and with enough speed, the engine will turn on and take over. It has the 2 settings for speed, a crisp walk, or a light jog. To change between the two, you must use your foot and press on the front of the board you stand on. It is a bit tight, as you cannot easily fit 2 feet on it, but my daughter developed a riding style comfortable for her and was able to change the gears easily. ... show more

The scooter purchased is not showing up on this page anymore. The one i purchased for my son is the Caroma E32. The E32 was easy to assemble and is made of all metal. It took maybe 15 mins to put it together. it only takes a few hours to charge and I've yet to see the bater die. i just make sure i charge it for him every night and he takes it out a few times a day for at least 30 mins at a time. The instructions were not clear with how it worked, but i quickly discovered that this scooter does not have a throttle. the power button acts as a pressure switch and needs to stay pressed for the power to function. i guess its a good safety feature as well for if you kid starts to loose control. The break automatically stops the motor in addition to applying the breaks. Switching gears is extremely easy, and the second gear is fast enough to be fun for your kid, but not too fast to where it is a hazard. overall, its an amazing high quality product and i would recommend ... show more

    • Great electric scooter for kids
When I got an electric scooter, my 9-year-old son was understandably jealous, so when Amazon recommended this electric scooter for kids to me, I immediately ordered it. I was concerned that the speed rating was about 1/3 of the max speed of my electric scooter, but 6mph turns out to be a great speed for a kids scooter. He feels like he's going fast, and I feel safer knowing that he is only going about 6mph. The runtime on the battery seems really good to, as I don't think he has run in down completely yet. The lights on the sides are a neat touch and they turn red when braking, but it would be nice if there were lights or reflectors visible from the front and rear for better visibility in the evenings. I'm glad that the handlebars are secured with both a locking pin and a clamp, because somehow the clamp fell off while my son was playing with the scooter, and he lost the bolt part of the clamp. Luckily, the handlebars are still secured by the locking pin, so he can still use the scooter. ... show more
