Please actively contact Carlinkit via order Before our products are shipped to customers, they have to go through several product inspections, and always keeping the quality of products high is our top principle. What vehicles are compatible with Carlinkit 5.0? Carlinkit 5.0 works with cars that have a factory-installed wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto system (typically 2016–2026 models). It converts your existing wired connection to wireless. Can I use CarPlay with an Android phone or use Android Auto with an iPhone? No. Carlinkit 5.0 mirrors your phone's ecosystem — iPhone gives wireless CarPlay, Android gives wireless Android Auto. It does not convert between ecosystems. How do I access the web settings page? Connect your phone to the adapter's Wi-Fi, then open a browser and enter 192.168.50.2 or 192.168.50.100. Check the manual if one does not work. Sometimes the connection feels laggy or disconnects. What should I do? Minor compatibility variations can occur with some vehicles. Try changing the WiFi band to 149, 161, or 165 via the web settings page. If the issue persists, please contect us for further assistance. Will video streaming apps like YouTube or Netflix work? No. Carlinkit 5.0 is designed for CarPlay and Android Auto only and does not support video streaming.

  • Works great for my 2021 Range Rover Sport that had the old Apple "wired: CarPlay
I have a 2021 Range Rover sport with "wired" Apple CarPlay. This was like a first gen Carplay and you have to use a cable inserted into the USB port to get it to work. Two years ago it was fine and worked reliably. As Apple did more and more updates with the OS, the Carplay became unreliable and frustrating. I was losing my mind because I use so many of the apps with carplay and it was become dangerous just having to look at my phone for map directions. This Carlinkit 5.0 works! There is a little tiny bit of latency during phone calls but otherwise everything is nice and works well. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully. I had missed a step on the first try and thought it wasn't going to work. I was able to finally get it going. Sometimes, I do have to reinsert the cable to activate the Carplay and phone but otherwise, it's 100% better than what I was dealing with before. I can recommend this over the other one the Ottocast. That didn't work for me. I tried multiple times to get it to connect and didn't have success. This is about the size of a credit card in length and width. It fits under the armrest console nicely. I hope this helps others. ... show more

  • Work Great Till Not
Setup was very easy. I then connected my iphone with not a problem. So far, so good. Started driving down the road and the map kept going off and then back on. I checked the software version and it needed an update. That process was pretty simple to update which it needed. I tried again driving down the road using the map and it kept disconnecting and then connected. what the heck! I really, really wanted this thing to work but after all day of checking and getting the same on/off again while driving, I give up. I returned it for a refund. ... show more

  • Solid device
Let’s me choose which phone to connect when booting up. Sound quality is good. TikTok lags but I think that’s a TikTok problem because YouTube is fine when you edit the latency a little. Solid connection. Takes about 20 seconds to get going when the car is started. Does its job well.

  • 5/5 ⭐️ and 👍 👍! Best unit tested! Seamless integration, easy to use, and a free management app!
Short answer: 5/5 ⭐️ and 👍 👍! I purchased this unit for use in a 2021 Lexus RC 350 equipped with a Mark Levinson stereo w/wired factory Android Auto (AA)/Apple Car Play (ACP) support, and a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5g. I've used the phone with many other Bluetooth connections including a USA-Spec BT45 Bluetooth adapter in my 07 GS 350. The RC's AA/ACP works seamlessly with the S20 5+ using the wired connection. Pros: • The unit sets up easily (plug and play as promised) and paired seamlessly with my Samsung S20+ 5g. • Port connection vs. hard-wired USB cable allows the use of longer cable supporting more placement options. • It starts up quickly and within 15 seconds of engine start my playlist is playing. • Sound quality is equivalent to my Lexus factory Bluetooth connection. • Rapid response and full compatibility with my Lexus Touchscreen. ZERO lag and access to all sections of the screen. • Full preservation of existing screen function. No replaced menu items. • Flush USB C connection port allows the use of any compatible cable • AA *AND* ACP support • Manufacturer-provided management and configuration app • Updates in-place via mobile phone. Does not have to be removed from the vehicle. • Value – the most expensive unit but the best-running, fullest featured, and only one app-supported. Cons • Price - most expensive unit tested Summary: This is “The Keeper”. It works every bit as well as the Anyfar, and addresses both of the issues I had with it. It supports ACP, which was a requirement for me. It has a flush USB port which allows me to use any of my many USB A-USB C cables to stash the dongle in the dash near my phone mount for the shortest wireless connection path. I also really like the app. It supports basic configuration and performance functions and it gives you some visibility into what’s happening with the device. The ability to update-in-place is a nice touch. As noted above, I plan to place the device in-dash to preserve what little storage space Lexus gives us in the RC’s console. Update-in-place ensures I won’t have to go into the dash to perform updates. Finally, while ‘Price is a con’, value is a definite “Pro”. Application support isn’t free, and price is not advantage if it doesn’t meet your needs….. ... show more

  • Does the job, but not great!
The Carlink Wireless 5.0 works but not great. It loses connection at times and takes a good minute when reconnecting to paired IPhone. Overall better than having a cable but it should have better and faster software. It also doesn’t support any video streaming.

  • Best wireless CarPlay adapter.
I have one of these in two different vehicles. For the money, I think it is tough to beat for adding wireless CarPlay. That being said, I have issues with it connecting at times in my 2016 Chevy Silverado. But now that I have one in our 2019 Toyota Avalon, too, I am starting to think it is something with the Silverado radio. The one in the Avalon setup and works 99% of the time. Never had to fight to get it to load. Sometimes might take a bit longer, but it loads. And have even attached a second phone to it, in the same car. And at startup it will give you an option which phone it is connecting to. But you have to be watching for it as it will happen quick. The Silverado one works like 75% of the time. Sometimes takes a very long time to connect. Sometimes it connects and running as soon as vehicle starts. And sometimes no matter what I do: BlueTooth off/on, restart phone, unplug and plug unit back in, it just won't connect. Then the next time works just fine. But when the unit connects and working - in either vehicle - it works just as well as when phone plugged in for CarPlay or another car I have that has a Wireless CarPlay headunit in it. Everything just works right with CarPlay. ... show more

  • Stopped working surprisingly fast
I rarely write reviews, but I feel I should share my experience with this product. I bought this wireless CarPlay adapter because the features and price seemed good. It worked fine at first, but to my surprise, it stopped working in less than 6 months — it simply wouldn’t power on anymore. I contacted support, but the response was slow and didn’t lead to a solution. In the end, I had to go through Amazon to get a refund, which fortunately was handled smoothly. I’m not writing this to complain, just to provide honest feedback. I hope the manufacturer can improve the quality and reliability, because the idea and convenience of the product are great — it just needs better durability. ... show more
