I found a barely used (non working) Subaru EA190V pressure washer in the trash. The previous owner used gas with ethanol, and let the unit sit a long time without running it dry of fuel before storage. That caused the carb to get gummed up with deposits, and I was unable to clear the carb of blockages. This carburetor is identical to the OE carb, fit perfectly, and comes with plenty of gaskets. The provided fuel line is an exact match to the original, and the external filter by far supersedes the old internal filter. After I replaced the carburetor, fuel line, fuel filter, and cleaned out the fuel tank, the pressure washer fired up on my first pull. The engine ran perfectly without any hesitation or strain. For less than $20, I’d say this is an incredible value for the money spent. ... show more

Absolutely amazing at this price. Installed it in 15 minutes. Powerwasher, which wouldn't stay running, fired on the first pull of the cord and ran like brand new. My powerwasher is over 10 years old, still works well, and for less than 20 bucks, this is a terrific buy. I'm purchasing another just to have on hand if needed again. Thanks for this ! ... show more

    • Works on my pressure washer with little modification
Used this on my 8 year old Costco bought Subaru EA190V 3100 psi pressure washer. It was not a perfect fit but took 2-3 mins of modifications to make it work. Old carb had a compromised seal and was sucking in extra air (and gas leak). This resulted in engine continuously revving up and down and same with water pressure. This new carb arrived on time and looked more or less the same but the choke connection was different. I used the old carb, opened up two tiny screws from the carb flap (a.k.a butterfly flap) and pulled the assembly out. Did the same thing on new carb and inserted the older assembly and butterfly flap into new carb. This took couple of min and made the carb fully compatible. Since the replacement, pressure washer is running like new and all my issues around engine revvs are gone. ... show more

I have a 10 year old Costco bought Subaru EA 190 V. After reading the reviews, I was ready to modify the butterfly from old to new carb. Didn't need to do a thing. I pulled off the old and put in the new with the provided gaskets. Installed new plug that came with it and I added a fuel filter which mine didn't have , as well as the entire fuel line. Started right up as good as new. If it only works a couple years I'll be thrilled with the amount of time I took the old apart, cleaned and never ran great and leaked fuel all the time. ... show more

    • The carb worked great right out of the box !
I have not had much luck in the past with carburator purchases, however I must admit this one was a no- brainer. The installation was as easy as pie and the unit started and ran smoothly. I know there is a slight modification necessary for the choke to work and I hope to hear from them on that. Great purchase. P. S. I might add that 93 octane fuel runs cleaner and better for small engines. I just found out the hard way on that. ... show more

    • Don’t Do It!
First of all, a reviewer stated that this carb works with the Costco Subaru EA190V, not completely true. This carb does not allow the choke function to work as there is not a post that to allows the 3 position switch to activate. So I decided to rob the choke assembly from my old carb. It did fit, but I had to modify the carb body with a 3/16 drill to allow the shaft of the assembly to seat about 1/16” deeper. After these mods the engine fired up and runs good. Now I have a new problem, after the washer sat, I now have a puddle of gas under it, it’s leaking from the throat of the carb. I think the float valve is stuck, I’ll figure it out tomorrow. So my take is stay away from this carb unless you want an hour project. ... show more
