Description

Monster hoses are made with a dual-braided construction of steel over polyester and jacketed with translucent polyurethane for high strength, durability. They are equipped with quick connect fittings for quick and easy setup 3/8” Male quick connect plug x 3/8” Female quick connect socket. Translucent polyurethane outer jacket is non-marring, abrasion resistant, and designed to fit most gas pressure washers with standard quick connections. I bought the 100 foot version of this hose. It has 3/8 male threaded ends, and came with a quick disconnect set. I went to the blue home center and bought (2) female-M22-to-female-3/8 fittings and (1) male-M22-to-male-M22 hose connector. This way I could connect this new hose to my machine, and the other end to either another hose (with the hose connector) or to the spray wand. Either way, make sure to connect the largest diameter hose to your machine before another hose or wand. "Roll" out the hose the entire length from your machine to your initial work area. Don't pull one end from the coil, it will not be easy to straighten or lay flat. When done, "roll" it back up like a hose reel would, don't try to coil it because it will be a battle. I was able to position the machine in a central spot and work over a very large perimeter without having to move the machine (and chemical/soap bucket) as much. It saved me a ton of effort and with a 50' 1/4" dia hose connected at the end, I noticed no appreciable flow/pressure reduction. I would think that you'd need one of the more powerful engine powered machines with at least 2.5 GPM output to get the most of this hose. ... show more

Got this for only washing my car, and a long 125ft footpath. Using this on Karcher K5 2,100PSI Worked well no leak. Hose is very stiff, very hard to wind. It's over 20 pounds Was expecting what I'm getting, and I thought I could manage. But, after washing a I get exhausted, and here goes my 100ft hose waiting to be coiled. I seriously hate this portion of car washing. The 20 pounds hose. Now, I zip tie the first circle, then roll the hose till I reach the other end. It's a hassle. Simpson hose never kinked on me . Never had troubles with it. Feels it will last. For industrial, and work environment I would recommend this heavy duty hose. but for home use, I would just go for a rubber type pressure hose. Cause it's way lighter. Got 25ft UBERFLEX hose just to try it, and boy oh boy, this thing feels like a feather. So easy to maneuver, and I really like it. You will lose the kink resistance of the Simpson's hose, but this one do resist kinking to some extent. I'm waiting for a deal, to grab myself 2 × 50ft UBERFLEX. For those using electric pressure washers, pass on the Simpson, unless you have a hose reel. UPDATE: I noticed dripping from the female quick connect from the simpson hose. but, the pressure washer is not functioning, as in it's not a major leak. also, I noticed when using the gun, dripping is minimal to nothing. Other reviewer stated he tightened the adapter, and it stopped leaking, will try it. ... show more

This hose has a larger diameter over the OEM and much less pliable. So it’s much heavier. Better if I lay it out fully than try to drag it from coiled position. Hope it can last.

The 100’ really improves your mobility and reduces the number of times you need to reposition the washer. Stating the obvious, because it’s one of those “wish I had done this 10 years ago” moments when you see how much better the workflow is with the longer hose. One fitting on the end worked loose and leaked a bit, but it just needed to be snuggled up and the leak stopped. Others described this as stiff, but it’s so much easier and lighter to use than my original hose. My washer is 3500 psi 3.5GPM and I did feel a slight reduction in power at the tip due to friction loss, but not much at all. Overall just way better to handle than the original hose and improves the work. Don’t hesitate to get one. ... show more

    • Good hose, but water bleeds into the steel braid causing rust.

Very good hose functionally. Coils smoothly and reasonably light and kink resistant. The only flaw is the non stainless braid they used. Mine wicked moisture into the braid and caused black rust stains 2 meters up the hose (so far). It has not yet caused a failure, but disappointed in it.
