Description

This Android car stereo is designed for Toyota Tacoma (2005-2015). It brings wireless screen mirroring, GPS navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity to your daily drive. The responsive touchscreen makes your commute smarter, safer, and more enjoyable. Does this work with the factory steering wheel controls (SWC)? Yes. The setup varies by vehicle configuration: Factory radios without a large screen: Requires simple SWC programming through the head unit menu. Factory radios with a large screen: Uses the included dedicated CANBUS decoder, no programming needed. Can this Tacoma Head Unit support with JBL system? Yes, this unit supports the factory JBL audio system for 2005–2015 Toyota Tacoma. Our included wiring harnesses are designed to fit different factory radio and JBL configurations — covering the 3 common original stereo types. Does this support the OEM backup camera? The included wiring harness supports most OEM backup cameras. However, it is not compatible with backup cameras that display in the rearview mirror. • Worth it!
Easy to install and works great! Was not able to connect steering wheel controls no matter how many times i tried. I took it apart 3 separate times to make sure the wires were connected correctly and they were. Not a deal breaker but definitely would help. Otherwise a very legit replacement for the stock one. ... show more

  • Great if the specification meets your needs
I have no concerns about this product other than what you get for the price. 2+32 with a 9" screen is not a lot to get for the money. I would be expecting a 2+64. But you get two things over and above the norm; a fan, which you can see in the picture of the rear of the unit, and a license plate clip, which avoids the need to drill your bodywork when mounting the rear view camera. So this is a bit better value than appears to be the case at first sight, and the excellent instructions will make it possible to self install, saving as much money as you are spending. After careful consideration, I have concluded the fan is worth the extra cost over that of a basic 2+32 system, as it will probably result in a longer working life for this stereo. So I give this give stars. 2 GB RAM is enough to run GPS and music - but not much more. 32 GB ROM will not be enough for 'power users', but if you have basic needs, it's enough. The 9" screen is bright and clear. It is just large enough for my 66 year old eyes to read the GPS at a glance without leaning towards it, and that makes a real difference. Sound is ok, but nothing exceptional. The backup camera takes all the stress out of escaping a busy parking lot. This car stereo pairs with both my iPhone 16 Pro and my wife's Samsung Galaxy. Consider your needs. If you think this is a good match for them, you will not regret buying this. ... show more

  • Good radio for Toyota Tacoma.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make calls, music, and navigation considerably more convenient while driving, and the IPS touchscreen is clear and simple to use. It is a well-rounded configuration with helpful features including GPS navigation, Bluetooth, FM radio, steering wheel control compatibility, 5G WiFi, and a 1080p backup camera. All things considered, it is a useful, plug-and-play addition that gives your space a lot more contemporary and connected vibe. The display is bright enough to view well during the day, and the touchscreen is responsive. My phone and Wireless CarPlay instantly connected, and when I start the truck, it automatically reconnects, which is really handy. Android Auto functioned flawlessly when I tested it as well. The integrated GPS is precise, and when connected, 5G WiFi allows for relatively quick app and update downloads. Compared to my old radio, the sound quality is substantially improved. Bluetooth calls are clear on both ends, and the DSP settings let me to adjust the audio to my preferences. Reception of FM radio has also been steady. With the provided wiring harness, installation is quite simple. The majority of the setup is plug-and-play since everything connects as it should. Since the backup camera wire must be carefully routed beneath carpet and trim pieces, it was, to be honest, the most time-consuming task. In terms of performance, it is based on Android 13 and seems fairly responsive. For this price level, the touch response and screen resolution are good. Nevertheless, I want to continue using Android Auto since it provides the greatest experience. The Apple CarPlay, or whatever you call it, certainly works too, but these days I prefer Android. The value is what sticks out the most. A functional head unit, a fitted bezel, and the necessary components are all included in one box. It would have been much more expensive to assemble something like this using different parts not so long ago. The head unit itself is a typical 9-inch design with a noticeable, bigger display form that tapers down without being unduly deep or thick. It is mostly held in place by the provided bezel rather than a bulky chassis, which is actually rather effective in this situation. The bezel feels high-quality and makes the installation process simpler and cleaner overall. The DSP tuning produces substantially better sound than stock, and the Bluetooth audio quality is good. It is much more useful and secure thanks to the inbuilt backup camera support and steering wheel control SWC compatibility. After adjusting the DSP settings, the sound is noticeably improved. The difference is noticeable when I run it through the OEM speakers, particularly on the low end. When I put it in reverse, the backup camera that comes with it immediately turns on. It is not precisely plug-and-play; installation took roughly two hours. There was no need for trimming because the harness matched the factory wiring. Although a brief internet search filled in the blanks, I wish the accompanying instructions for the CANBUS setup were a little more thorough. It made the truck feel ten years newer for the price. So far, Wireless CarPlay has been operating reliably and connected really quickly. It is nice not to have to fumble with wires each time you enter. After adjusting the DSP settings a little, Bluetooth calls sound crystal clear and streaming music is unquestionably superior than the stock arrangement. When the signal fails in farther-flung locations, the integrated GPS is also helpful. ... show more

  • Screen looks great. There is some Good and some only O.K....no Bad
9 Inch Car Stereo Radio for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015, Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto, 5G WiFi GPS Navigation System, IPS HD Touch Screen, Bluetooth FM SWC, Plug and Play, with 1080P Backup Camera. AINAVIGO This performed very well, at the time of installation, for an Android 13 operating system, with 2GB of RAM. As long as you don't keep too many APPs open and limit the background use of the processor, by APPs and services, this system should keep running well..no lag. The 2GB of RAM is the limiting factor: As it updates it may overwhelm the RAM causing things to slow down and/or hesitate. I had to manually program the steering wheel controls, to get them to work ...once done, they work just like with a factory system This comes with 32GB of onboard storage space for your system and personal media files (music/movies/pics/documents/etc.) Plus, with the two USB ports, you can add as much external storage as you want. I think there is a 2TB limit...not too sure on that, though. You can't help but notice the 10 inch (9 Inches viewable,) 1080x 720, multi-touch display, with split screen capability. This really stands out in the Tacoma. The touch navigation is responsive. Clear (and large) enough to comfortably read texts and E-Mails. Movies look incredible, from any position within the vehicle, thanks to an exceptional viewing angle. CarPlay/Android Auto/Wi-Fi/MirrorLink/Bluetooth: Each works as it should...fast connection (usually within 10 seconds...no more than 30 seconds) and no noticeable dropouts. CarPlay/Android Auto may be connected wirelessly or through the provided USB-A port. I added in a powered USB-C hub, on one remote port, to give me enhanced device charging and connectivity. Of course, this comes with an AM/FM radio with RDS (displays background info about the station and what is playing.) The signal reception is good. The built-in and the second, remote-locatable, microphones allow you to take advantage of all the voice control functionality of the radio and your connected phone. The wiring harness will work on both the high-end JBL and low-end sound systems...the included wiring sheet shows two different plug combinations...they don't say what each is for. I was un-able to borrow a Tacoma that had the factory JBL or BOSE system installed, for the purpose of this review, soo, I am un-able to give you definitive information as to the compatibility...Try asking the seller. You will appreciate the sound system upgrade that you get. The built-in 15-band EQ gives you great control, to tailor the sound to your preference. The addition of a Digital Sound Processor chip (DSP), gives you some Surround sound enhancements. You can choose to add an Amp, and even a dedicated sub-woofer if you want. The native GPS Navigation works great both Off-line and On-line; once the offline map data is pre-loaded. The system quickly downloaded the map data, for use offline, once I connected the Wi-Fi and opened the Navigation APP. The online Navi worked great with all the expected features. If you would prefer, you can, of course, download your favorite navigation APP from the Android Market, to use in place of the built in one...at least, when you have an internet connection. The native system does not require you to be online. It also supports a back-up camera (included.) If your vehicle already has one, then it should work on this unit...if not then you will have to install the included one. Be aware that installing a new camera is more involved, and time consuming, than installing the main system upgrade. You can also add a front view camera (dash cam) and set this up as a PVR. This front Cam is NOT included. I chose to add both to this system. Installation: Extremely easy...this one is. First you need to remove the vent panel just below the factory radio. Carefully pry it out using a plastic automotive trim tool...start at the top. Next there are four 10mm bolts at the bottom of the radio to remove...pull the radio straight out (there are four clips holding it in, so pull firmly)...that's it...all done. Now you can follow the manufactures instruction to install your up-graded infotainment system. The installation is quick and simple...they did all the hard part for you...they give you the pre-wired harness that connects the new system to your vehicles harness; making it plug and play (mostly: certain trim packages will require splicing a wire or two...no big deal.) You will need the included plastic trim prybar and a 10mm nut-driver/socket that they did not include...or at least that was all I needed...your model may be different. Overall: A very good, affordable system ,you can easily install, that adds soo much functionality to your vehicle while looking fantastic. Functionally, at this price point, I'd only give this four stars. Four and a half because of the nice screen. That rounds to five! ... show more

  • Modern Tacoma Infotainment Upgrade with Strong Wireless CarPlay Performance and Factory-Style Fit
This 9-inch Android-based stereo upgrade is a substantial improvement for 2005–2015 Toyota Tacoma owners looking to modernize the truck’s interior with wireless smartphone integration, navigation, Bluetooth, and a larger touchscreen display while retaining a relatively factory-style appearance. The standout feature for most users is the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Reviewers consistently reported fast automatic reconnection when starting the truck, making navigation, calls, music streaming, and messaging far more convenient during everyday driving. Bluetooth pairing is quick and stable, and voice control integration adds safer hands-free functionality. The 9-inch IPS HD touchscreen gives the Tacoma cabin a much newer and more connected feel without appearing overly oversized or awkward in the dashboard. Users noted that the display is bright enough for daytime visibility, touch responsiveness is solid for the price category, and the included bezel creates a cleaner OEM-style installation appearance. Powered by Android 13 with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, overall system responsiveness is described as reasonably smooth for navigation, media playback, and app usage. While this hardware configuration is not high-end by Android head unit standards, reviewers generally found performance acceptable for normal daily use, especially when primarily relying on CarPlay or Android Auto instead of running many native Android apps directly on the unit. Integrated GPS navigation and WiFi support add additional flexibility. The included GPS antenna and preloaded North American maps allow offline route planning, while hotspot connectivity enables online navigation apps, downloads, updates, and streaming services. Users specifically mentioned that 5G WiFi support provides noticeably faster downloads and smoother online functionality. Audio performance is another area where this unit improves noticeably over the factory Tacoma stereo. Multiple reviewers highlighted cleaner Bluetooth audio, better low-end response, and useful DSP/EQ tuning controls that allow more personalized sound adjustments. Steering wheel control compatibility also helps preserve factory convenience features after installation. The included 1080P AHD backup camera adds meaningful value to the package. Users reported that reverse image quality is clear and sharp, and the camera activates quickly when shifting into reverse. Installation of the camera wiring is generally considered the most time-consuming portion of the setup process. Installation overall is described as mostly plug-and-play thanks to the included harnesses and matched bezel. Most users completed installation within roughly two hours without requiring wire cutting or trimming. Some reviewers noted that the CANBUS instructions could be more detailed, though online resources helped fill in missing setup information. For Tacoma owners wanting an affordable modernization of an older factory infotainment system, this head unit offers a strong balance of features, sound improvements, navigation capability, smartphone integration, and overall value. The combination of wireless CarPlay, upgraded touchscreen, GPS, improved audio tuning, and included backup camera makes the truck feel significantly newer without requiring a premium-priced system. :) ... show more

Radio works well. GPS forgets where it is when you turn off the vehicle and can take 30 minutes to find its location.
