I’ve been really impressed with this! We did not have the budget for something top of the line, but wanted something heavy duty that would last us a long time. We use this for when we go camping and it fits just about all of our gear - no longer is my kiddo sitting in the back seat squished like a sardine! It is very easy to get set up and is very secure. We drive on Texas highways where we go 70-75mph and have had no issues whatsoever. It’s kept our belongings safe in the rain, and after many uses since its purchase..we’ve found that it really is very durable. This worked great for our 8 hour trip! It rained and snowed about 2 hours of our trip and everything was completely dry and protected! I was so worried it wouldn’t be from some of the reviews and it was all completely dry not even damp, there was no water that got in! Didn’t notice any noise from it, the cross bars had more noise than the bag! Fit on our Chevy traverse perfectly! I recently purchased this rooftop cargo carrier, in preparation for a 1,000 mile trip to Florida. It arrived in good condition, and it didn't take long to figure out the directions and strap it to the top of my car (I also bought a rubberized mat to place between the carrier and my rooftop, to protect the paint from scratches). The carrier is quite roomy, I think it fit something like 7 suitcases of varying sizes. And when strapped down tightly, it didn't produce much wind noise either (it took a little trial and error to figure out where/how to tuck some of the straps so they didn't blow in the wind and smack the roof of the car. My primary complaint concerns the front of the carrier, and how it closes. The zipper runs from one back corner up the side, across the front, then down the other side to the opposite back corner. And there's a flap that covers the zipper, with velcro to keep the flap down and the zipper protected from the elements. But the front center of the flap lacks velcro, so the wind stream coming off the top of the car lifts the flap there, and exposes the zipper. That became an issue when we drove through a heavy downpour of rain outside Daytona Beach, as the exposed zipper couldn't stop the large volume of rain from penetrating into the carrier bag itself. I wouldn't go so far as to say the bags inside were soaked, but they were certainly damp. If the makers of this product would place a velcro closure, or better yet a cinch-down strap, in the front center of this carrier, I suspect that would fix the leak issue and make it a great product. ... show more

First trip into the Rocky Mountains a day after a snow storm. The cargo bag kepted everything clean and dry inside. Easy install and easy take down. No complaints. I now have to wash the bag off but it looks like a rinse in the shower will work. So far so good.

We used the 15 cubic foot cargo bag on a 26-hour road trip from New Jersey to South Texas, and it exceeded all expectations! It handled everything — rain, blazing 99° sun, and even highway speeds up to 84 MPH — without any issues. We don’t have roof racks on our suv, but it fit perfectly and stayed secure the entire way. Just make sure to fill it up all the way to avoid air pockets, and take the time to tuck and tie the flaps tightly — it’s not noisy at all when secured properly. I was initially impressed with the quality. Was going on a lone drive for a family reunion. Packed all my stuff in, tied it to the top of the renegade and off we went. I had no issues with water getting in, no issues with anything... Until I packed all my stuff back in for the return home only to have the zipper break in two! I was horrified. My brother in law works with metal and he said all the bubbles in the zipper metal showed that the zipper was not made properly and was the reason the zipper broke. Fortunately the bag has 2 zippers so I was still able to close the bag and make it home without any issue. Just a tad disappointed that for the price the zipper broke literally the second time I zipped the bag. and for anyone wondering- NO there was not undue pressure on the zipper.
