This has a large amount of storage and looks sturdy and well made right out of the box, and it comes complete with a pad which I appreciated. I don’t have a roof rack, just side rails, and it works fine in that setup, so installation was straightforward. My main hesitation is the structure of the bag itself—the sides aren’t stiff, so if it’s not fully packed I worry about how much wind resistance it creates and how much that could stress the material. With the amount of airflow hitting it at highway speeds, durability over time is still a question in my mind, especially in terms of whether it could start to tear or pull under load. That said, for maximizing cargo space and fitting vehicles without a full rack, it does what it’s supposed to for how I plan to use it.

The vinyl and rain flap are thick and work like they should for something like this. 21 cubic feet is a very decent amount of space for a few suitcases and a couple backpacks. That's about what I can get in it. Two big golf bags, three if a bit smaller, and about a half inch to spare for the drivers in the length. I don't like the ad pics showing the form of the bag so sturdy because unless you stuff it full of something to fill it out it won't look like that. The vinyl is thick enough it's not going to flap around if not stuffed, but some inside rigid panels or tubes or something would be more value reflective for me. Other rooftop bags I've seen do actually have that sometimes. That means with this you should pay attention to the aerodynamics of it and your pack job over just flippantly stuffing it and pulling the straps tight and going. It will be weird if stuffed lightly and angled bad for incoming highway wind so make sure it's groovin' solid before you gun it to 80 from the on ramp. It's easy enough to put on top of basically any car with a semi-flat roof and secure with the straps. Not going to leak or open unexpectedly, especially with the lock. While the vinyl bag is noticeably thick and high quality, the value is fairly high relative to competitors that offer more or less that exact same function or better. I'll give this 3.5 stars rounded up.

We used this 21 cu ft roof bag on a long road trip in an SUV that doesn’t have a roof rack, and it worked out better than expected. The material feels thick and durable, definitely heavier than cheaper bags I’ve used before. The 840D PVC held up well through rain and highway speeds, and everything inside stayed dry the whole trip. Capacity is legit too — we fit several suitcases, soft bags, and odds and ends without having to force the zipper. Installation was straightforward. The door hooks and extra straps made it easy to get everything tight and secure, and the anti-slip mat actually does its job. Once strapped down, the bag didn’t shift around or flap, even at higher speeds. The zipper feels sturdy and the included lock is a nice bonus for quick stops. Overall, this feels like a well-thought-out cargo bag that’s built for real travel, not just occasional use. Solid value for the size and quality. I highly recommend it.

This is a very big durable cargo bag that’s easy to use. It was easy to set up and the straps are adjustable and offer a great deal of security. The zipper is thick and very good quality. It’s a great price for a cargo bag that’s easy allows for a ton of extra space.

I’m really pleased and impressed with the quality of this car roof bag. I’m especially happy that it can be used without a car rack. Instructions for using this car bag are very straightforward and easy to use. The bag is medium weighted, and the quality of the material is fantastic and seems very durable. This bag provides a convenient way for us to carry our extra luggage on trips securely. Another excellent characteristic of this bag is that comes with its own storage bag and folds down compactly storing easily and taking up little space. I’m very pleased with this item and am happy to have it for an added storage option while traveling.
