We started using this in the early 1990s for dog accidents, but have used it to clean entire rugs and for other spot cleaning. It works extremely well and has a great fresh scent. We've used it on very expensive rugs, and those rugs have maintained their like-new appearance for years. The way it works is ingenious: with a little dampness the particle expand and contact the dirt particles. When they dry, the particles shrink but keep the dirt attached. Vacuuming removes both the Capture particle and the attached dirt particle(s). Tip: do not saturate the area with the (required) Pre-Mist spray; use a light mist. Put another way, if the area is not dry and able to be vacuumed in about 30 minutes, then you are using too much Pre-Mist.

this powder stuff is so good at its job it's so awesome, i had bought a couch off marketplace that i was seriously considering giving away and losing $150 on it because i had washed the covers and vaccuumed it all over at least 4 times and still the scent was there. i gave up until i saw this stuff even existed from a youtube video, decided ok well if this doesn't work Idgaf then but thankfully it did work Hurray I sprinkled it over the entire surface areas of the couch with the little plastic basket thing included in the powder, then sprayed it over with diluted great value tile cleaner with bleach (honestly i think i have brain damage from inhaling so much of this stuff mixed with bleach of all things), left it to sit for like 20 mins at least, then sweeped off as much as i could with a dollar tree broom, then vaccummef it and The smell is gone it is absolutely unbelievable it smells neutral now, such an effective product by far the best smelling smell this couch has ever emitted. no info on stain removal though.

One of the BEST PRODUCTS OUT THERE! Simplecand easy too use. 8 LB bucket and ordered 2 bottles of pre must stain remover. What I did was sprayed the mist...it goes a long way, don't over spray. Let sit 5 minutes and brush in with damp sponge mop. Then I sprinkled the power all over and brush in with brush attachment to handle and let it set for 30 minutes and vacuum slow twice. Not hard at all and easy the way I like it. Afterwards I used Angry Orange Mist for Freshener ❤️

The reasons for my giving this product a 3 star rating. Pro's 1) It does a very nice job in cleaning your carpet that is fact. 2) It does leave a subtle scent after applying and vacuuming per the directions. 3) when using the liquid Spot remover the combination does indeed lift out ground in dirt and spots Con's 1) It leaves a fine dust in the carpet, even after vacuuming the product per the directions I know this for a fact due to the fact I used my Bissell Pro Heat Steam Cleaner directly after vacuuming the product up, and when powering up my Bissell I immediately saw dust flying up off the carpet that had been treated with the product. Thus if you have allergies or sinus issues I would hesitate to use this product. 2) After vacuuming the product up my vacuum motor was effected by the fine dust particles and was much louder. I took the vacuum apart and cleaned it the best I could to save the vacuum. Hence prepare to repair or replace your vacuum after use of this product. I used a bagless Bissell Power Force Vacuum about 4 years old with very limited use. 3) When using my Bissell Pro Heat Steamer the product left a pasty residue in the Extraction side of my tank. Thus the Bissell Power Heat did in fact clean up the majority of the dust left behind embedded in the carpet. Overall the product does what it is advertised to do, however the product definitely has some down sides to it. I would not use this product based on the Con's listed above. If you do not have allergies or sinus problems, and don't mind spending some time cleaning your vacuum after using the product I would recommend the product. It does certainly clean your carpet. However I also know Steam or a Wet style Carpet cleaner does the same job with the only drawback being drying time.
