Description

I don’t need a pack. I’m doing just fine on my own.Until one tiny mistake has me perfuming enough to draw every enforcement officer in a ten block radius. I know what awaits me if I go into custody as an unclaimed Omega, so when a blazing hot and surprisingly kind Alpha throws me a life raft, I grab hold with both hands.Only problem? He didn’t exactly clear his claim on me with his pack. They don’t want an Omega. Especially Thane, who seems to be calling the shots. At least they’re letting me stay until they find another pack to take me. I should be grateful, but being trapped in a mansion with four unbonded Alphas that smell like heaven is pure torture. Fox, Miles, Levi, and Thane are everything an Omega could ever want, but there’s a reason I was in hiding. I have to remember… I’m Knot Their Omega. CAPTIVATE is a standalone Omegaverse romance told in multiple points of view. It includes MM and MMFMM and a happily ever after is guaranteed. Read more

  • Love me omegaverse romances and this did not disappoint!
*** Audiobook Review from September 2023 *** I thought the narrators did a good job with this omegaverse. I wasn’t a fan of the male narrator for all the different guys, but he did a fabulous job with Thane. I just felt like he made Levi sound so different than I had imagined. I thought the female narrator did a good job with the male voices as well. I liked how she did everyone but Thane hahaha. She made Thane feel like a robot. I have listened to her before and she does a good job, she isn’t one of my favorites but I don’t have an issue with hating any of her performances either, so consistently good. I thought the best scene was when the reveal happened, when things got dicey, how emotional all the different characters got (the main harem and then the side characters too). Seeing her stand up to Thane’s parents was amazing. I would give the audio 4/5 stars ❤️ *** Ebook Review from January 2023 *** This was the first omegaverse by this author (this is her new pen name) and she does a fabulous job with this omegaverse romance. I can be pretty picky when it comes to OV because there are certain things I like seeing/mentioning/not passed over and if the author shortens that part that is essential for omegaverses I get taken out by the story (like first bonding/bites, or first time they do the deed for example). This author did everything so well while still keeping it a reasonably sized standalone story, I was so happy with it and will definitely be reading book 2 when it comes out this spring. I had a tough time picking my favorite of the alphas, but I think Miles won me over (I am an engineering nerd in real life and love books so I gravitated toward him the most) but I absolutely loved all the guys and wished they were real. The storyline line was refreshing and the plot was super well paced. The steam was done so well, it wasn't overpowering but we get enough to keep the heat up hahaha. I enjoyed the back story and profession of our adorable but strong omega. I think there were moments, which is the reason we get all the tension and angst, where it could have been resolved or mentioned before it all blew up, and it wasn't an overcomplicated issue and resolution but it didnt take away from the execution by the author. I am gonna remember this one like I do some of my fav OV romances (Kathryn Moon will always be my #1) because of the relationships she built. How the guys were there for each other even if they didnt want it. The family unit was beautiful and the M/M scenes were 🔥🔥🔥 I just wanted more and more hahaha. I thought the additional characters were done really well too. Like Thane's parents who thank goodness had a dose of reality or I would have put my hand through my kindle to smack their silliness away haha. I loved Riley's bff, she was adorable and how she grilled the guys. I thought the bad cop was done really well to show us how Alphas see Omegas and their lack of rights in this world. I do wish the whole parent thing was confronted after she had her attack. The nurse made it a point and the guys reacted to protect her and then nothing else came of it. I don't know, seemed like a little loose end that wasn't resolved. But if that is the only thing I can critique, it was a job well done!! 5/5 stars cannot wait for Hypnotize in April, this helped me get out of funk with some tough personal stuff I am dealing with, so if you are looking for a happy story, definitely pick this one up. You will probably read it in one sitting like I saw a lot of people mention haha. I made sure to break it up so I could enjoy it more ❤️ ... show more

  • Book Review: Captivate by E.J. Lawson
If you’re looking for a book that delivers found family, slow-burn romance, and a strong yet vulnerable main character, Captivate by E.J. Lawson is an absolute must-read. The story follows Riley, an omega living as a beta to avoid being forced into a pack through the oppressive system in place. She’s been surviving on her own, dodging the authorities, until an encounter with Miles—a contract coder who quite literally saves her from arrest—changes everything. He brings her home to meet his pack: Thane, the protective and level-headed leader (and a doctor), Fox, the charismatic football player, and Levi. What follows is a deeply emotional and beautifully written journey of trust, love, and acceptance. What I loved about this book was how it focused on the bond between the pack members, not just the romance. There’s so much tenderness and care in the way they welcome Riley into their lives, and each character felt well-developed with their own strengths and struggles. Riley’s journey—navigating fear, learning to trust, and finding a place where she belongs—was so compelling. And let’s be real, the tension and chemistry? Chef’s kiss. If you enjoy Omegaverse stories that lean into emotional depth, strong character dynamics, and a touch of spice, Captivate is worth every second. It’s about love, safety, and finding home in people rather than a place. I fricken loved it and highly recommend it! ... show more

  • A touching start to Lawson's aomegavwrse world
To start things off, this is a great Omegaverse book, but there is a warning ⚠️ I want to give.Although this book is delightful and endering, there are some dark subjects mentioned in this book. If you have triggers, please check those before jumping in. Also, giving a heads up, there will be spoilers ahead, so read at your own risk ⚠️ ----- Captivate is my first look into E. J. Lawson's tale of an Omegaverse world needing change and a young woman struggling against a power dynamic that treats Omega's as commodities rather than cherished loved ones and a deadly disease is taking lives in stride, one sense at a time. Riley is an Omega on the run, but with a dark secret that slowly eats her hopes and dreams, pulling her into an endless loop of yearning for what could be and living her fantasies in the stories she helps ghostwrite. During one of her binge writing sessions, she loses focus on taking her Omega suppressants and ends up getting saved by Mile's a kind Alpha she ran into at her best friend's book store. Being as the laws are and placed on the records as Omega, Riley is forced to choose to stay with Miles and his pack, or go into the system and be sold off to Alpha's who may harm her like many of her dynamic. But Riley is surprised with how different this pack is, how they wholeheartedly love and respect one another and her as well, though Thane, the Pack Lead, is certainly rough around the edges. Surprisingly they all connect quickly, but the pack won't accept Riley fully and bite her in until Thane gives his concent, but he senses something off about her and won't take the next step until a health scare brings all her secrets and the reality of life's fragility, up front and center. How these men took into account of her needs, the struggles they all would have to face in this fresh relationship, and still doing all they could to fight for Riley and her health ❤️ freaking floored me. They supported her and cared for her through recovery, helped her heal with so much compassion and love, it was heart warming. Though I wish thr connection wasn't so fast paced and the time line felt a bit mudded, this was a great experience. ... show more

  • Wow
This book was fire. Loved it. The characters. The story line. All so fantastic. The bond they created together was amazing. I really liked the different types of MC's we have. And man what a tough MC.
