Normally, I give Joshua five stars. But I just can't this time. I love the series and will continue reading his stories. However, whoever was the editorial group he used for this book really let him down with the massive amount of grammatical and sentence structure issues that are not the norm for his writing. As for the story and character arcs, they were magnificent as always, and you can tell when Josh puts a lot of work into the background settings of his work. Josh, get new editors. All of your previous books were easy to read with excellent flow, but this one was a struggle. ... show more

It has been awhile since I’ve read an Omega Force story. It’s good to see the adventure continue. This book had a good story even though it had some grammatical mistakes. The one disappointment was that for a large part of the book the rest of the crew were not involved. This story seemed to focus mainly on Jason while the rest just seemed to be bit players. After reading this book I couldn’t help but get the feeling that OF is coming to the end. This mainly had to do with the story revisiting the past and not really presenting anything new that would move the series forward. ... show more

For me, this is the best book in the series thus far! You can see how much the group has matured from their origins and also see that Jason has legitimate fears about his own future moving due to an unknown threat and his own abilities (or lack thereof). Joshua Dalzelle is really a master of storytelling. I have enjoyed all of his series from Omega Force, Scout Fleet,and Black Fleet. I thought I knew where this story would go, but oh boy, I certainly did not! Joshua took me for another great ride where I had trouble putting the book down. It’s a good thing I finished so quickly because Joshua Dalzelle has to generations of fans in this house and my 17 year old son bugged me until I finished so he could read it as well.
