  • This guy works!
Size: 1/2" Drive / Extended Leverage
The longer the bar the greater the leverage. Also, the greater the tendency to deform and flex or bend. I bought this to break loose bolts tightened to 150 foot-pounds! The cost on this was comparatively low so I was curious as to how it would work when really stressed. I was doing drive gear work on my motorcycle and had several fasteners to break loose. None had ever been loosened since factory install over 24 years ago, so I expected to have serious effort expended. To my delight it was PERFECT for my job needs. In use it showed very little flexing and honestly, did not require too much power to break loose even the largest and most tightly torqued fasteners! I watched videos of big, strongly muscled guys doing the same job I had where they strained and had great difficulty breaking loose the same fasteners I addressed. Mine were red Loctite coated too, yet the leverage from this breaker bar did the job well. It has a place of honor in my shop and is my immediate go-to for any bolt or fastener I think is going to be a challenge. Recommended. ... show more

  • Solid construction
Size: 1/2" Drive / Extended Leverage
It's a solid 1/2 drive 30 inch breaker bar so far I've only used it to take some wheels off a vehicle to change to my seasonal wheel/tire.. Have an impact wrench so only did one wheel with it but it handled the task easily

  • Heavy Duty & Impressive
Size: 1" Drive / Extended Leverage
Broke 1/2 snap on bar & extension on an axle nut. This bar handled it easily

  • solid
Size: 1/2" Drive / Extended Leverage
Seems solid, the 1/2 bar is not 30 inches long, it is 28.5 if you are wondering.

  • GREAT BREAKER BAR FOR THE MONEY VERY HEAVY DUTY!

VERY HAPPY WITH THIS TOOL

  • Good enough for the cost.
This is exactly what it appears to be, an $18 break over bar. I am a general aviation A&P mechanic and only need extra force when removing the base nuts from a cylinder. I will probably use this break over less than a dozen times a year. Most of my tools are Snap-on but no more than I will use this break over I saw no need in spending 10 times as much for a Snap-on or even 5 times as much for a Craftsman. Is this a cheaply made tool? Yes but it was cheaply priced. If you are a heavy equipment mechanic and use a 1/2" break over every day then I would suggest going with, at least, a Craftsman, or if you need a bigger tax write off, then by all means buy the Snap-on. Snap-on tools are, without a doubt, worth every penny they cost if you need that high a quality; but no more than I will need this heavy wrench it will do me just fine. ... show more

  • sturdy bar
Size: 1/2" Drive / Extended Leverage
Is a nice length, and easily puts torque on hard to remove bolts, and easily torques down large nuts and bolts. Just be careful not to overtighten with this beast. Is nice not to have to immediately grab a cheater bar when using this.
