Description

The GEARWRENCH combination wrenches are durable tools for most jobs. They are made from alloy steel with either a full polish or satin finish that resists rust & corrosion. The off-corner loading design on both ends provides a stronger grip on fasteners, reduces fastener rounding, and delivers up to 25% more torque to the fasteners. Sizes are stamped on the beam for quick, easy, & permanent identification. The box end is offset 15° for increased access to fasteners. Available in stubby & long pattern lengths and 6 & 12 point, the GEARWRENCH combination wrenches are a must have for every toolbox.

Moving out of my parents so I bought my own box to fill with my own tools since I won’t be able to use my dads anymore 😅 was looking for a no skip set that goes up to at least 32 mm because that’s the size of the axle nut on my dirtbike. I also do all the work on my 91 Chevy truck so I needed SAE and not just metric. This set has every size I’ll need for just about every job I’ll do. So far the quality seems really good and I’m happy with these wrenches. Did some suspension work on my truck with old rusty hardware and they held up really well to high torque when holding bolts while my impact broke the nuts loose. The open end of the wrench has a step in it designed to increase grip, it feels like it works but honestly hard to tell. I’m not a scientist so that’s not for me to test🤣 the longer handle lets you get some good leverage, that’s something I can test and something I’m already appreciating. Also when paired with the Ernst wrench organizers, I was able to neatly fit all 44 wrenches in one drawer of my US General full bank cart with a little bit of room to spare. Overall, happy with this purchase. Would recommend and I will probably be buying the ratcheting wrenches from Gearwrench at some point too. ... show more

I have been using this wrench set for several months now. They have seen a lot of use and I am very happy with them. I received all of the sizes that I was supposed to and they don't skip any sizes until they get up into the really large wrenches. They do offer the large sizes that are skipped individually for a reasonable price if you find that you need those sizes. I did and I bought all of them. The chrome finish is very nice and the build quality is great. The length is a bit longer than standard length wrenches and I like the extra leverage but I have still used a cheater bar on some of them which they handled with no problems. The ends are a little bulky compared to hogher priced wrenches like Snap=On but lets face it, they are nowhere near the same price. You would only be able to buy the one biggest wrench in this set from Snap=On for the price of all 44 of these. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again if the need arose, I don't think you will find a better wrench for the price. ... show more

I am a professional automotive technician. I bought this GearWrench 81919 set for use at work, so it's been used pretty heavily ever since. For reference, I also own sets of Snap-On and Kobalt wrenches (size comparison photo of all 3 brands included). The gearwrench wrenches hold up well to daily use, and quality-wise, I would place them above the Kobalt/Husky/Craftsman wrenches available in local stores, but below the "tool truck" brands - Basically, a great choice for those who want high quality tools, but don't want to shell out the money for Snap-On, Mac, etc. A word on quality - as far as wrench sizing and construction quality, these GearWrench wrenches are pretty good. However, if you're one of those people that has to have perfectly clean tools with flawless, polished chrome, this may not be the set for you. The wrenches all had minor scuffs and scratches from the start, I presume as a result of the factory packaging (they're basically piled together in a big box, pictured in photo attached to this review). I don't care, since in my line of work everything winds up with scuffs and scratches anyway, but it may be a deal breaker for some. ... show more

Great set of wrenches, I am a tech at a repair shop. I use these when a ratcheting wrench won't fit. They fit bolt heads right on. They work great, but they are not perfect, one or two wrenches are bent/bowed a bit and some of the size engravings aren't fully finished but for the price they beat snap on any day! These little things don't effect the workability of the wrenches at all. They look great in my toolbox as well. My snap on rep picked one up and liked them, he couldn't belive the price for the full set. would be over 1000 for the same set from snap on. Update- 1/23/19 Ive been using this set of werenches for the last 2.5 years at work daily without any problems. great for alignments and anytime you need a non ratcheting wrench. Updated from a 4 star to 5 star. like other people said the largest sizes are a little big but as long as you have some room they are great. ... show more

This has been a great set of wrenches to work with, should last a lifetime. Gearwrench service/warranty has been great to work with in the past as well. Can’t imaging needing anything much bigger or smaller than this unless you’re building a tank or bridge.

I got this open box from amz warehouse and it was basically like new. Incredible, nearly compete set of wrenches from small to very large. I love the generous format length of the wrenches. You won’t believe that you’re getting the large sizes like 1.25 1.5 30mm 32mm. These are like $20 ea. The largest (1 1/2in) is nearly 20 in long! These probably aren’t the worlds best quality tools but they are fantastic initial quality and lifetime mfg warranty. Really impressed. Somehow I managed to get all of them arranged in a 19x22 drawer in my workbench-type tool chest. Win! ... show more

I could not have asked for a better wrench set. Quality to cost ratio is unparalleled. No gaps in sizes until you get way up in the very large wrenches. Quality is excellent and there are no QC issues with mine as some others have noted. This will most likely be the last standard wrench set I'll ever buy. If you watch these, you can get them at a much reduced cost. I purchased them at $167 so if you're willing to check back frequently you can score a great deal on some great wrenches. ... show more
