The bar itself is nice, especially for the price. However, the packaging needs to be improved. The bar was shipped to me nakedly in a paper tube. The tube is obviously not strong enough for this 44 lbs item (yes I got the 44 lbs one, it’s an option). There are multiple dents on both ends of the bar. There are A LOT tape residues all over the bar. It feels like the bar dropped out of the tube during shipping and was put back into it, and then taped all over it here and there. I spent a good 30 minutes to clean it and make it shine again. The dents won’t go away but it’s straight and functional so I’ll keep it. Too much trouble to return. ... show more

I haven't used it to extreme weights but for ~200 lbs haven't had any problems. Price was the lowest of all the barbells I checked.
