This is just what my dried out, beat up hair needed recently. I damaged it trying to leech out a bad dye job. It was like crispy straw. In the Before photo, I had been trying to fix it by using other leave-in conditioners and keeping a humidifier going at night. It's better in the Before photo but you can tell how dried out and rough it looks. I used Honey Hydrate to infuse some moisture, then I used this Cantu curling cream while twisting to style my hair. The After photo is the result of ONE treatment with the conditioner and the Cantu cream. Just one treatment. It's so hydrated that I just wore it in a protective style for a few days, but it sure did rescue my hair. For regular use (now that I discovered it), I apply it sparingly before I do my 2-strand twists. This is an INTENSE moisture product. It might be too much to use on thin hair or on hair that is less than dry 4C type but for 4C hair - damaged or not - this is the stuff. I was never a huge Cantu fan. I tried a few of their products and kept 1 that I liked and ignored everything else. When I was searching for ways to handle my damaged hair - and it was seriously damaged - this popped up on a lot of natural hair sites so I gave it a shot. My hair is still healing, but the immediate effects were like getting ER treatment for the mess I made. This stuff is super thick and creamy. And it smells divine. ... show more

I absolutely love this Cantu Avocado Curling cream! I’m a big fan and a big user of Cantu products so when I came across this, I knew I had to get it! It makes my hair smell so good and it works great for braid outs or twist outs or even feed in braids. I highly recommend this product!
