As an amateur mechanic, it took me about 1.5 hrs from start to clean up. I had fun, and it was easy, and it turned out great! Fit is perfect. Looks great! Ont of the smaller tips cracked, but I ordered more. I don't knew what happened. I could have put the bigger ones on, but I like the way the smaller ones look. My only question is...what do you do with the holes on the connection bars?

Bolts under the seat are too short and I opted to buy new longer ones to feel comfortable with the install security. One stripped out and had to drill it out. Wife likes them.

Installed these in about an hour and a half, and I am a very amateur mechanic, and without a lift. I don’t think the same Harley Davidson product could fit any better! These went on with ease and everything lined up absolutely perfectly. Lots of hardware included, and these bars are very stout. I’m very impressed with the fit and finish, and it comes with two different sets of “bumpers” and three different color washer sets to match whatever color scheme you’re going for, blue, gold, or red. Or, you can choose to not install them and just go straight black. Very impressed with this product, especially since it’s about 1/3 the cost of the same Harley Davidson product. They’re probably made in the same factory in China.

You need to watch a you tube video for installation instructions. None come with the package. They are not very hard to install, however you need metric, sae wrenches, star and hexagons drivers and/or sockets to fit all of the different nuts and bolts. Other than that, they look good and seem to be well made. Also, with the newer saddlebags that have a bigger bulge than the previous ones, they don't stick out very far. I don't believe they will provide very much protection. Those were the reason for the 4 star I rated.

NO CUTTING NO DRILLING DONT DO THAT. This is the set that you want, trust me. VERY clean. High quality. I absolutely would recommend and purchase again. The shifter side fit perfectly. The brake side was off just a little. Instead of drilling or cutting or messing with it like other reviewers suggested, just use common sense and give it some tweaks where needed. Might need to flex/push/pull into position to get one or maybe more to align. Other guys should have had their wife smack it with her purse? Stop. Get creative and persuade into position if not perfectly aligned. It will not take much! It comes with all new hardware needed. It seems like good quality stainless bolts nuts etc. You can reuse your old fasteners if you like. Except for top front under seat. The one in the kit is longer and definitely recommend replacing that one. For my install, I fit piece at rear fender into position leaving bolts loose. Slide front piece on and install 1/4” bolt to join pieces together. Then install lower bolt for front piece and left loose. Finally, top bolt under seat was a little off for me on the one side. That one I just leaned into to flex piping into position to install bolt. Then secure all fasteners. Using blue loctite of coarse. Hopefully this helps someone make the decision to purchase and or with install
