My appliance is under 5000W, but it still doesn't work properly. Why? Why does my voltmeter only show 70-80V when testing the inverter output, while the inverter screen shows 120V? This is not a defect or malfunction. The issue is likely because your voltmeter isn’t using the correct measurement mode. This is a modified sine wave inverter, so make sure your voltmeter supports RMS or True RMS (TRMS) mode for accurate readings. Can I use the inverter while charging the battery at the same time? No. The charger’s voltage is usually higher than the battery’s, which can trigger the inverter’s over-voltage protection if used simultaneously. What size inverter should I buy? Always choose an inverter with a higher power rating than your appliances. If your coffee machine is 2000W, a 3000W or 4000W inverter would be a good choice. Not sure?
