These weight bags are great to put on your umbrellas so they won’t fly away. You fill them with water and don't have to refill for months. The only drawback is they don’t make the Velcro long enough so it’s tough to get the grip tight around the umbrella pole.

I had these attached to a 10x20 a couple portable carports at an outdoor event for 4 days. There was a severe thunderstorm for a day and night. One carport didn't budge at all. The other one blew over, twisting the metal legs in the process, however, the feet where these bags were attached were still in place. So even if the canopy blows away, you can be sure that these will still be there. They've held up for a year now, across 6 outdoor events. No leaks under heavy use on gravel, concrete and grass. They attach snugly to the poles, weigh about 50 pounds each when filled, and are easy to move around with the handle. Though I babied mine by carrying at the bottom, in addition to the handle. UPDATE: Still love these bags as they held down my garden tent during heavy winds. However, when I went to take them down, I found one had sprung a leak. Of course, it was about a month past the 30-day warranty which was disappointing. These bags are not only heavy duty, but also very heavy when filled with water. They have 4 velcro straps to attach them to the legs. I found that placing them where you want them, attaching the straps, then filling them worked best. I'm using them to hold the legs of a greenhouse tent and they're working great. I like that at the end of the season, I'll be able to empty the bags and store them without taking up much space. ... show more

I wanted to give this product a 5 star review but I couldn't get past a few hurdles. First, I will talk about the positives. These bags are solid and HEAVY. They will keep your canopy down in pretty good wind. The product is pretty strong, I worried about punctures but these bags stood up to some abuse with no negative effects. I wouldn't drag them on the ground or put them near sharp objects, but for securing a canopy or weighing something down, they work really well. Why did I not give it a 5 star? A couple of things. These bags are HEAVY, yes I listed that as a positive. The reason this is a negative is for the purposes of transport and handling. The bag is big and floppy. When filled with water, it can weigh 55 pounds. The handle will hold up, but it can be murder on your wrists. Filling the bag is another problem I ran into. Unless there is a water source near you, you are going to have to transport the bag/s. I had a bit of a problem filling them too, the opening is just big enough to fit the head of the water hose but it can be unwieldy. I stuck the head of the hose in the hole and it filled with water and air causing a bit of a gusher. All of those things can be prevented, but if you are in a hurry, it an be a problem. There was some problem with leaking which I could not figure out. It may have been a result of over filling or not tightening the cap enough. Ultimately, the bags are water tight, the caps work well, and the product was very effective. ... show more

On my third summer outdoor show season using these bags. The wind always picks up in the evening here in Northern NV, & weights are required equipment at all outdoor shows, esp since most venues do not allow staking. Work very well, approximately 40 lbs each when full. My canopy has withstood a 35mph gust using these bags. It’s nice to be able to empty them at the venue and store them flat when not using. I have, however, lost two gaskets, and the bags will leak somewhat without them if they tip over. Overall, I’m very glad I got them. ... show more
