  • Good Quality Pop‑Up Tent with Strong Frame
I have no trees in my backyard, so there’s absolutely no shade. I ordered this 10×10 Pop‑Up Canopy Tent for when my grandchildren come over in the summer. I need a shaded spot to sit while watching them, and they need a place to cool down between bursts of running around. The tent comes with everything needed to set it up and secure it. The steel frame feels durable, and the canopy attaches with Velcro straps. It includes four ropes and eight ground stakes, plus four empty sandbags that attach to the legs for added weight. I’ll definitely be using the sandbags. None of my previous canopies ever included them, and I usually had to improvise with partial bags of sand just propped up against the legs. This is a big improvement. All the components fit into the included storage bag, which measures 7.8" wide and 46" long. The packed weight is about 25 pounds. I can lift it, but as a senior I wouldn’t want to carry it far. I do wish the storage bag had wheels like some of my older canopies did. Setup is straightforward, especially with two people. You start by standing the frame up and opening it slightly, just enough to place the canopy top on before fully expanding the frame. It’s much harder to attach the top if the frame is fully opened first. Once the top is on, you push up the center button until it locks, then adjust the legs to one of the three heights: 5.7 ft, 6.1 ft, or 6.4 ft. The dimensions are 10 ft at ground level, narrowing to 8 ft at the canopy because the legs angle inward. After adjusting the legs, you secure the Velcro straps, stake the legs, and add the sandbags if needed. I always use them now because we get strong winds in the summer, and I’ve lost more than one canopy over the years. Overall, this is a solid, good‑quality canopy tent at a reasonable price. ... show more

  • “Handy pop-up canopy — easy setup and great stability (take-down takes a little patience)”
I bought this pop-up canopy because there are so many times it’s nice to have a shady spot, and our yard doesn’t have any big trees. I used it for a garage sale and it was perfect over our checkout table. I’ve also used similar tents for craft shows in the past, and this one is just as easy to set up as any I’ve owned. What I like: Very handy to have for yard sales, events, or outdoor projects Easy pop-up setup — quick to get in place The slightly smaller top compared to the base adds stability Material feels durable and easy to handle Included sandbags are a big plus (you really need them for safety, and they’re often sold separately) Great size for tables, shade, or small gatherings Things to know: Because the top is smaller than the base, taking it down can take a little patience When collapsing, the legs slide down and can splay out and catch unevenly if you’re not careful — it makes sense once you’re doing it, just go slowly Bottom line: This is a really useful canopy to have on hand. Easy to set up, stable, and made from durable materials. The included sandbags are a great bonus. A solid choice for garage sales, craft shows, or anytime you need quick shade. ... show more

  • Great price and easy to set up and take down! Bonus sandbags give you peace of mind.
This 10x10 pop up tent has been a good replacement for my old one. It is easy to set up, but you do need two people to pull it open evenly and raise the legs. The legs adjust to three different height options, which is nice depending on how much clearance you want. When it is time to lower it or pack it up, you just press the lever on each leg and it comes down smoothly. It comes with a lot of helpful extras, including stakes, tie down ropes, empty sand bags, and a back fabric wall. I am especially excited about the sand bags. My previous tent did not have those, and when the wind caught it, it tipped and fell over, which damaged it beyond repair. That experience is exactly why I needed a new one, and these added stability options give me a lot more peace of mind. I use this tent for a Pride event that I display at every year, and it provides great shade and protection from both sun and rain. Everything fits back into the carrying case nicely when you are done. The quality feels good for the price. While tents from big retail chains might be slightly higher quality, they also cost about twice as much, so this feels like a solid value for what you get. ... show more

  • Good value for this pop-up tent that I would have expected to pay twice as much for
Removing a star because this isn’t really a “one-person, instant setup” situation unless you’ve got the arms of a 6ft tall man. For a 5’ 1” woman, however, it was not possible, and I’ve been using these types of pop-up canopies for decades when I’d have sporting events. This is still a solid tent for 80 bucks though. The canvas feels like the standard UV reflective nylon that has maybe twice the thickness of a windbreaker jacket. Doesn’t feel overly thin or like it’d rip easily. There’s plenty of Velcro connections to keep everything in place, although the straps for the middle sections look a little cheaply done. The structure itself feels stable and stands solidly when it’s fully set up, and the button release mechanisms are a really nice feature that I wish I had in my previous tents because it really does help save your fingers from getting pinched by the silver locking buttons. The legs can also get stuck on these kinds of tents when it comes time for take-down (especially the last standing leg, whichever that one happens to be), so these help relieve that issue greatly. There is also one side wall included, plus a set of thinner stakes and lightweight rope, similar to the basic gear that you’d find in a lot of camping tents, as well as a set with thicker stakes and heavier duty rope for days that may be a bit windier. The tent collapses into a very compact size and it’s it’s pretty light in weight, although I do wish the storage/carry bag had wheels on one end (pretty standard feature I thought) to make it easier to haul around when you have a bit of distance to walk before your get to your set-up spot. Overall, this is still a lot of bang for your buck. I’ve paid twice as much for similar but slightly worse versions that they have available at the sporting goods stores. ... show more
