    • Print Quality
My older printer still worked great, but I printed so much on it that the ink absorber was full and starting to smear the ink. It was more economical to buy a new printer than to pay someone to replace that. This was the newest version of my old printer. I hope it serves as well as my older one. So far, I am very happy with it. I use Canons best photo paper, and the prints look just a great, just like before. I use quality 24 lb paper and all the printing looks sharp and clean. For best results on any printer, you need to buy quality printer paper and photo paper. I t may cost a little more, but the results are worth it. The only fault I find so far is it seems to take a little longer to start up compared to my older version. I buy my ink on Amazon and with my older printer I would receive my ink within one or two days. I also could order XXL with more ink. But all I can find so far is the standard ink cartridge and it takes 3 to 5 days to get the ink. Not sure why unless it is a newer model, and supplies are not available as much as my older model. Overall, I like my printer so far. I also like it in white over black. It is easier for me to see. ... show more

    • Impressive Printer, Very Happy Customer
So far, this printer has not disappointed! I’ve always disliked HP printers since I was little, but I’m so glad I chose this Canon printer. I had always associated Canon printers with Apple products, but after doing some research, I found out it’s not Apple-specific. This Canon printer works perfectly with my Android devices, allowing me to print from my phone, tablet, or desktop via Wi-Fi or wired connection. It can print in color or black and white, scan, photocopy, email, and even print directly from an SD card. There are so many features—it's unbelievable! It was also the easiest printer to set up ever—it literally took less than 5 minutes to set up on my own; I didn’t need anyone’s help. I haven’t even explored the app or all the desktop accessories fully yet. It’s honestly the best printer I’ve ever had. The ink was a little pricey, but what ink isn’t? I’ve been printing a lot more lately, so I expected to need extra ink. Overall, I’m incredibly impressed. I highly recommend it and have already shared my positive experience with several people. Plus, it looks sleek and stylish! ... show more

    • Frustrated with printers ink availability! Expensive mistake!!!
The printer is great, but don't plan on being able to ever get genuine Canon printer ink. It is nowhere to be found. The 2 times I bought ink I had to buy the full kit of all ink cartridges because buying the individual colors I need is not available. I've tried to buy from Amazon, Local Office Supply stores and tonight I tried to buy directly from Canon and the website is constantly crashing. Amazon should not be selling these printers if the inks are not readily available. What good is a printer with no ink. ... show more

    • Great Printer, But Skip Online Setup

I got this PIXMA combo to replace another canon, series M6220 that I'd had for over 10 years, which I loved. This printer has the same clean, streamline esthetics with a larger touch screen and easy keypad. Setup was a little tedious as they instruct you to go to an online setup, but it's very convoluted. After about 30 minutes, I realized that I could just connect it to my WIFI without having to use the online setup business (dah). Once set up, the connection from computer to printer is pretty quick and the print quality is great. Shop around for ink replacement and don't do any updates. I'm confident this printer will last just as long as my old one. ... show more

    • Beautiful prints. Ink hard to find
Very nice scanner/printer. Just be aware the ink cartridges may be hard to find. The local office supply store is unlikely to have it in stock.

    • Better photos and print.
Not the fastest printer, but very clean/clear print. I believe the slower (less stress) print will allow this printer to last a long time. Very clear/vivid photos.

    • Avoid if you need Dependable Wireless Printing
The longer I own this printer, the more I relate to the scene in Office Space where they take the printer out and demolish it. It prints beautifully, but the wireless functionality is almost non existent. My previous printer would print instantly, regardless of how long it had been since I last printed something. This printer...forgets it's a printer. The Print Center status window shows the printer is Online until I send something to print...then, it's suddenly Offline. Avoid like the plague. (It might work better if connected with a cable.) ... show more
