I was in the market for an inkjet printer that was relatively cheap but was able to print pre-labeled inkjet compatible cd/dvds so my collection of backups wasn't so... ugly. This printer does a really nice job when fed a good quality image. You will want to use their bundled software, which was kind of a pain to get setup, but works pretty well. The software also accepts any image, so replicating a DVD you already own is as simple as taking a picture, cropping it, making the background transparent, and resizing it to about 70% of the total length/width of your image file. If you want to make a copy using any image you found on the web, that's also pretty easy, but you'll still want to scale the image down a bit so it doesn't get cut off. Tldr; I used this printer to create a few DVD labels for backups of retro games and it really turned out nice! ... show more

This is a Decent Printer. Works great, Prints great. I like the fact that paper can be loaded from the top and from the bottom tray. Your Choice. Also Prints at Decent speed. Quality is Excellent. I also love the fact that it's Wireless.... Which brings me to my one complaint. Sometimes when turning the printer on and getting ready to print... It's slow about being recognized by the computer. I'm assuming it has something to do with my wifi network, so maybe that's just a problem I have, I don't know... but I have turned the printer on and a minute after it boots up, I try to print, and the computer tells me the printer is not ON. Not always but Sometimes the Printer takes about 30 to 60 seconds to recognize the command. Then it starts printing and Everything is fine. But overall. Great Printer. ... show more

Since I have other printers for every other need, I used my Canon MX922 mainly for glossy photos and it died. This Canon TS702a was one of only a 5/5 rating for photos and it was not too expensive. As I was setting it up I found the display is not lit and I had to use a flashligjt. SO, i ordered a sewing machine light that works great. I just had to use duct tape to secure the switch. ... show more

I was a diehard Epson user mainly because of it's individual color tanks. I was reluctant to order this product and kept looking for months. Printers in the shopping cart printers out. I finally went with this printer. Shoppers, if your looking for a home or small office printer this printer is awesome. Beautiful photos, two trays, two sided, individual tanks (no waste), easy to connect and small enough to fit just about anywhere. Love it ... show more

    • I bought this printer mainly for the print to CD/DVD option!

I bought this printer for the print to CD/DVD option and for that it works really well! I was forced into buying this because my Canon MG5320up and *died on me just 2 days previous. I can't comment on the wi-fi connection since I mostly just use the USB connection to avoid the hassle of linking up to my router. I did get a USB *error but I tested it online and it prints just fine. I payed considerably less for this printer than the MG5320 but I think that's because a *scanner was included as part of the package. One *negative, the power cord fits very *loosely. So no matter how hard I pressed on it I couldn't get a good solid *fit. Luckily it connects well enough for the printer to work when the power button is pressed. This is my first day using the printer so I can't comment on any issues that might occur from long term use. Long story short, I highly recommend this printer if you're looking for one that prints to CDs and DVDs! ... show more

I have a Win 10 PC. The printer replaces my 4 year old iP7200 which stopped printing in color and problems with the paper rollers. The TS702a is an excellent printer in terms of print quality....once you get it installed. The installation setup was puzzling. I carefully followed all the steps in the Getting Started booklet, downloaded the set-up file, clicked Start Setup and went through the motions, selecting UBS cable connection, but the driver installation failed. Next thing I know, the printer is printing out the alignment patterns. The little screen (why Canon couldn't rig up a tiny backlight for illumination is beyond me) then went to normal configuration showing the 5 squares for each color. I had to add the printer to my Windows Devices directory in Settings and was able to print out a test page. However, the driver was not listed in the Control Panel-Programs directory. OK..let's see what happens. I picked out a sample text from Documents, selected Print and, voila, out it came. I decided to delete the printer from the Devices list and delete the downloaded setup software and start from scratch, this time setting it up for wireless connection to my router. Same thing... everything went well except the driver installation failed again. But, as before, I was able to operate the printer (after reinstalling it in the Devices directory), but the driver still was not listed in the Programs directory. Hey...if it works, let it be! I'll be calling Canon tech support about all this. Draft print speed is very good, but duplex printing is very slow. It takes a full 15 seconds to go from the end of printing on one side of the page to the start of printing on the other side. On my old iP7200, the cycle was completed in less than half the time. Very disappointing. Finally, you have to remember to pull out the output tray before you print or you'll get an error message on your monitor. With the iP7200, there's no tray, but a door that opens automatically if you forgot to do it when you start to print. But the main thing is that if it prints text well and has good, accurate color graphics and photos, I'll be happy. ... show more
