  • By far one of the best lens within the price range!
The most important thing to know about the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III lens is that it is a budget-friendly telephoto zoom lens that is ideal for everyday use. It is lightweight and versatile, but image quality won't match higher-end lenses and autofocus can be slow. The Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III is a telephoto zoom lens that is ideal for everyday use due to its compact size and lightweight design. It is particularly well-suited for beginners due to its affordable price tag. Pros: Affordable: This lens is a budget-friendly option for those looking to get started with telephoto photography. Lightweight and compact: This lens is easy to carry around, making it ideal for travel or everyday shooting. Versatile focal length: The 75-300mm focal length range allows you to capture a variety of subjects, from portraits to wildlife. Decent image quality: While image quality won't match higher-end lenses, this lens can produce good quality images, especially when stopped down. Cons: Slow aperture: The f/4-5.6 maximum aperture means that this lens is not ideal for low-light photography. You will need to use a faster shutter speed or a higher ISO, which can introduce noise into your images. Autofocus: The autofocus can be a bit slow at times, especially in low-light conditions. Soft corners: Images can be soft, particularly in the corners, at the wider end of the zoom range. Overall: The Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III is a good value for the price. It is a versatile lens that is well-suited for beginner photographers who are looking for an affordable way to get started with telephoto photography. However, if you are looking for a lens for low-light photography or one that produces the highest possible image quality, you will need to look elsewhere. Here are some additional things to consider before purchasing this lens: Your budget: This lens is a good option if you are on a tight budget. Your needs: If you are a beginner photographer who is looking for a versatile lens for everyday use, this lens is a good option. However, if you are a more advanced photographer or if you need a lens for low-light photography, you will need to look elsewhere. The weight and size: This lens is small and lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around. However, if you are looking for a more compact lens, there are other options available. ... show more

  • A high quality versatile lens at a reasonable price!
Canon has done it again! Continuing in its tradition of releasing the finest lenses at a lower cost with little to no loss in image quality over its top-end “L” series lenses. The 75-300 is lightweight and extremely versatile for subjects at a slight distance. An excellent walkabout lens. Very useful and highly recommended. ... show more

  • Durable zoom lens
This has been my main lens since I bought it as an upgrade. Love the autofocus. Even though it’s a little bit longer of a lens, it doesn’t weigh down the camera. Fits multiple canon camera bodies.

  • Good and works well
It was good, exactly what I was looking for! It's easy to use and put on the camera! I did have to buy an adapter since I could not find one that was compatible with my camera

  • A good value, and a great lens.
Wish it had stabilizer and zoomed in a smidge more, but I'm also glad it was so affordable. There's a bit a tradeoff, but it's worth the money in my humble opinion. Definitely get a tripod and remote though if you don't already have them. Both are basically requisite for this lens. I've attached a few samples to this review - all three were shot with tripod and remote. ... show more

Great lens for the price. It came well packaged and in a timely manner. I’ve enjoyed using it so far and the image quality is better than I anticipated. Looking forward to taking it with me to Japan next month!
