These are sharper and has stayed sharper than the J.A. Henckels set I had. It's really easy to get those every thin julienne slices with the small knives. These do weigh a bit more than the J.A. Henckels', but it's an issue for me. It would be an issue if I was using them like a sous chef would---continuously for hours at a time. I do hope they last longer than the J.A. After about a year, the handles cracked, the metal rusted and the knife block warped to the point where I couldn’t get some of the knives in the slots. Definitely not worth the money.

Not impressed with the look of these. The box looked like a return and the emblems on the knives look old and corroded, not shiny and new like the pictures. Returning.
