This item is good for security cameras, pocket cameras, or other lightweight cameras. I mounted a Sony DSLR on it and the weight of the zoom lens was a bit much for the ball mount. The camera wants to sag forward and down even after tightening the clamp as much as I could with my fingers. A compact camera which has most of its weight directly above the mount should work fine. ... show more
