I got this because of it's price and overall size, but mainly the shipping speed because of a last minute idea I had before a convention. The idea was to take my modified gopro and mount it on top of my Nikon DSLR for videos (2k @120fps) while shooting pictures. The overall execution was great the rubber held the gopro in nicely and the size of it wasn't to bad, the great part of the ball held design was that I could angle and rotate the gopro as needed and capture some interesting angles from the 2 cameras. ... show more

I have my Osbot web cam mounted to this little adapter. The adapter is mounted to a desktop microphone stand. This is a perfect setup for my Zoom meetings and video creation. It takes up very little space. Ascetically, the mount looks great and matches the webcam and the mic stand. More importantly, the surface this sits on is not level. This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a small ball head that I could use with my iPhone. My specs were, be small for traveling, be sturdy, have separate locks for pan and tilt, and be a good value. This little ball head met all the requirements, exceeded my expectations. It came with a dual thumb screw cold-shoe adapter so I can mount my Lumecube mini on top of my phone holder. I can lock my phone at a fixed angle, and leave the pan axis and still manually slew/pan in azimuth to shoot panoramas or pan while shooting a video. The price was very fair for this ball head, which is well built with fine fit and finish, and I couldn’t be more pleased. By the way, this is not a fluid head like larger units, but their is a mild resistance when panning that was a surprise. It allows you to just push one end of the phone and smoothly pan without feeling loose or jerking. What a little gem. ... show more

Very nice little ball head with the added panoramic feature (where the entire head will rotate on the base if you loosen the thumb screw). It's small but strong. Nice appearance and smooth working. Only issue I ran into was keeping it tightly mounted on my mic boom. I solved the problem by adding a lock washer between the boom and the ball head. Perfect solution. It's locked down tight and all the adjustments work smooth as silk. A great little device. ... show more

    • Nice, but 1/4" screw is short

This ball head is well made, but the 1/4" screw at the top is too short, about 4.2mm. I would really like it to be at least 2mm longer, or more. That's why there's an adjustable platform on the 1/4" screw, so we can adjust it to our needs. I like to have as many threads as possible to have a good mechanical connection. The other features of this device are well made. The ball (metal) locks into place easily and securely. The main body is 27mm wide in the area where it says Ulanzi and is metal. The red rubber pad is 33mm in diameter, and the platform it sits on is plastic. The finger grip on the main adjustment screw is 24mm and plastic. The panoramic feature turns smoothly. This ball head would probably be good for applications where the length of the 1/4" screw is not an issue. ... show more
